Agree with others. Great images, but price seems high.

RC could not find this stone listed with their vendors, but is reporting an average value of $2,310. I'd say whoever is trying to sell to you @ $4,350 is being greedy. Or there are other circumstances at play we don't understand. For instance, I noticed you quoted in USD indicating maybe you are overseas and part of that price includes duties & taxes.

Great ASET and Idealscope. The price seems a little high for the specs. Is this from a local store?

For comparison:

.623 D VS1 $3,249
https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3974687.htm?source=pricescope

.66 D VS1 $3,789

Yes it is from a local store in my area.
Was contemplating to buy online however the scope images on JA, white flash etc looks different making comparison difficult

FYI, WF and HPD linked above is what we call a super ideal diamond. They will have AGS000 certification, true hearts and arrows symmetry and excellent ASET, idealscope and H&A images to back up their performance.

In short, you can trust them to be the cream of the crop and we can show you how to read the images. There really isn't much difference, just each vendor has different shades of color they use.

Also JA is different. They have a H&A collection that some are conflicted about and the only images they provide for round stones are idealscope only and that is by request only and you are limited to 3. I am not a fan of JA rules and policies. WF, HPD and BGD are much, much better IMO if you are looking for top notch quality, excellent customer service and all the performance and symmetry images to confirm a good buying decision.

Also I might add that while the GIA XXX net is large very few of those stones can make an AGS000 grade. To get that grade an advanced 3D scan is done of the individual diamond to precisely analyze all the proportions.

GIA does not have or utilize this technology. However, the stone you found has killer proportions and great images to support it. If it were to be graded by AGS it would likely receive 000 status. It really is a gorgeous stone.

That said, I found other GIA stones that should be the same or better. All the images aren't available until requested and then it's hit or miss getting images with online internet retailers competing in that virtual inventory market.

The WF and HPD options are guaranteed winners for less money than your local guy. The GIA stones I listed are probably winners too but need images to confirm, and considerably less than your local guy.

Personally I don't have a problem with the stone your.local guy has. I have an issue with his price. If you want to stay local I'd use this price data to leverage against him and get that stone for $2,500 or so. If you are also buying a setting from him, be cautious there too as he's shown us he asks above average market prices so you need to shop that aspect too.
