I returned a pair of low uggs, a sweater and a bfd cardigan I found today from previous purchases and got back over $200. Bahahhha. I swear. I'm still unearthing old things to return.

My mom called me as i was driving Bc she wanted me to take her shopping. I said no. I'm going mall walking to exercise. That was music to her ears . I don't want to buy any more things for her. She's going away AGAIN August. Has she ever asked me to go with her? No. I only found out because I asked if my dad could feed the cats for me for a few days in August. For probably 20 years now my mom has had an apartment - first a 1BR then a 2BR when she upgraded in the same building. I've never seen a picture of this place. I've never been invited to visit.

Stand your ground PB!!! She doesn't deserve your time. I have a daughter and even in the most difficult times of her moods, I'm always there to listen and understand her. And most of all, want to spend time with her. We sat on the computer today - together, to shop the pre-sale!!!! I ordered a bunch however, some where Christmas presents for my nieces. You deserve the best a mother could give to a daughter - you are a good egg! Glad that you told her NO. Maybe she'll come to her senses some day. Love you PB.

Wanted to pop by and say that last year I had a good amount of items that were cancelled before they were shipped. I was.... not pleased. Nordstrom will honor those items at the sale price before cancellation occurred if/when they do come back in stock. Sometimes your local store can even call another store and pull the item that way for you and price match (assuming another store in the country has that item in the size/color you need). A lot of legwork on your end...but worst case you still end up with your items at the sale price eventually.

Nordstrom will honor those items at the sale price before cancellation occurred if/when they do come back in stock. Sometimes your local store can even call another store and pull the item that way for you and price match (assuming another store in the country has that item in the size/color you need). A lot of legwork on your end...but worst case you still end up with your items at the sale price eventually.

They will SOMETIMES. You have to literally have it noted in your account about 100 times by CS for them to do, and last year they didn't several times.

I am still waiting for Thursday morning orders to move beyond "Preparing for Shipping." I actually reordered almost all of it yesterday for 2day shipping--that order shipped. STILL no movement on the others. What the hell Nordstrom.

Hi Nordies experts! I have a situation I'm hoping you all can solve
I bought a lot of merchandise via the sale, using a triple points day. As a matter of fact, I even called ahead to find out how to ensure the triple points was applied to everything, since there were multiple orders being placed by me and my son in LA, so going to two different destinations.

Stuff arrives - some works, some doesn't. Now I'd like to return these items (for example, some I ordered too big and needed smaller sizes). How do I preserve the triple points? I also purchased some PJs which, while they fit, are so thin and crappy that I want to exchange them for better quality PJs. I've spoken to two phone reps who say my triple points can only be preserved in the transaction where I get the exact same thing, only in a different size. According to them, the case of upgrading the PJs won't qualify because I'm purchasing something different (never mind the fact that the original was so crappy!)

To make things more complicated, the reps have said that the only way to guarantee that my triple points will be preserved for the few allowable items to exchange, is to go into a regular Nordstrom store, return the merchandise, and have the sales rep purchase the replacement items simultaneously. I don't normally do this. The closest Nordies is about 30 minutes away (no traffic and if I can find parking so could be longer), and since they seem to have less and less merchandise in my size in store, I do all my shopping online anyway and have it sent to my house - so convenient. Help! It seems like there should be an easy workaround where I can still have triple points counted, since any new purchases will be a a mitigation/continuation of my first shopping...

Any ideas? Thanks for any PS brilliance you can provide!

Check your account. Once the points convert to a note they stay.

As you return the points just roll back. Maybe even go minus. It just means that subsequent purchases will build the points back.

My notes came out very quickly. So just verify that the points have converted to notes, if applicable, before starting your returns.

Notes also have expiration dates so have your notes then converted to a GC.

I'd make a trip to return everything and convert your notes over to a GC. purchase the replacement items online if they're still available.

I just remembered what I've done in the past to guarantee that I don't lose triple points because of returns/exchanges. When I purchase, I buy two sizes of everything I'm unsure of size-wise. That way, unless I want to return them both because of another reason (like doesn't look good or crappy material), I end up keeping one and the points it earns.
