It’s the first blue sky here for weeks. I love this time of year. It sounds ridiculous but I can almost feel my brain fizzing with happy hormones when we start to get some sun and flowers - the winter is just so grey and overcast.

All Looks beautiful! That magnolia is going to be a treat nothing like a borrowed view or in this case tree!

Finally some of our own Spring flowers to share from the beach house today. Not amazing but it's a start.

Not bad considering it has been snowing almost every single week including last week, this week and next week.

Thank you ladies. I got excited though I know it is pretty meager it's something given the weather. Cuckoo back and forth dizzying weather. Keeping my fingers crossed we actually experience a Spring and hope we do not go right into summer. I love Spring and Fall in the Northeast.

Do orchids count? We normally keep them in the laundry room and move them to the kitchen when they flower. 20180407_125936.jpg

Beautiful Orchids. I have a difficult time keeping them in bloom and alive! They certainly count!

Hopefully I will have real Spring flower pics to share in the coming weeks...my goodness it has been the UNspring this year. Here are a couple of Brooklyn "Spring" flower pics. Sad I know...but remember we are resilient in Brooklyn. Cmon little flowers please grow.

Our yard is full of key of heaven, fragrant violets and thimbleweed. Reminds me of my childhood, when my parents explained us all the flower names.

I wanted to play with my new closeup filter last evening. Here are the three pictures that were worth processing. One is a pretty daffodil with white flowers and a bright yellow-orange cup. Pretty, but not as stunning as I would have thought when I bought the bulbs.

The other two are volunteer daisies that did not know they were annuals and are pretending to be perennials.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that the close up filter works better than the photographer...

The temps hit high 80s here yesterday. And right now it's 41 degrees which is also the expected high. Yup officially cuckoo weather. ::)

My garden after a beautiful day, daffodils and tulips as well as sprinkling of forget me nots have all come out over the last two days. The daffodils are all in the first year of bloom and I'm thrilled with them.

Thanks @missy and @Queenie60 it was lacking in spring colour last year and I was disappointed so I planted a lot of bulbs last autumn, my soil is heavy so tulips don't last long.
