Unknown origins earrings

Hello, I am so excited to have found you guys and girls of course. I LOVE finding unique stuff and researching the object. You guys helped me yesterday with a brooch. I have these earrings that I cannot find a likeness at all. No markings etc. Hoping for some facts

Hmmm, are we certain these are earrings? They look a little large and unlike any earrings I have ever seen. As for stone, maybe Carnelian and the metal looks like an antiqued brass. I could be totally off the mark here, maybe some other experts will weigh in.

Hi there, thanks for responding. Well I'm not sure if they are really earrings. They look like them to me just kind of hand made I thought. I tried looking up the hinge style among other things and have not seen any like it.

Sure, sorry I couldn't be of more help but if it makes you feel any better I have some mystery earrings myself, if you have an antique shop you are friendly with you could have them check them out.

Definitely not earrings. Hair ornaments? Barrettes?
They appear to be sterling with inset molded glass.
They don't look like shoe clips, or sweater clips or collar tabs. Mysterious!

Looks like clips for a nice purse closure from a purse long ago.
