I found this in my grandmother's attic in 1984. I have never been able to get any information on it or find anything similar. Any input appreciated.

Looks like it could be red coral? Perhaps on a base metal that would originally have been gilded. Perhaps a contental holiday souvenir?

It could be “pinchbeck”, that’s a Victorian era gold “subsitute” based on copper and zinc. Quite collectible. Lovely piece.

I did some research and I believe it is pinchbeck and dark red coral. Very excited to have some information on it. I have searched for something similar for years without any luck. Thank you!
