Diamond and 6 prong recommendations

Hi everyone, diamond newbie from Australia here.

I have been searching for a round diamond, I colour or better and probably Vs2 or better. 1 to 1.3 carat.

I have been looking at these, budget of 7.5-9k usd i think for the diamond. Am i on the right track with these?

I have been in contact with whiteflash and brian gavin who said they might be able to customize their 6 prong settings. They also suggested these two settings but they might sit too high?

This setting sits so low that the wedding band doesn’t sit flush against the ER. They are both beautiful settings, and Stuller is a favorite. Ultimately, you will have to decide which one best suits you, and your WR.

Better clarity and bigger than your WF option above. So, this trades color from H to I to gain better clarity and bigger compared to your WF option. 6.88 mm; In a super-ideal, I'm ok down to a I in most cases. So, the color trade is worthwhile for the size increase.}

These vendors have different tradeup policies. WF gives you 100% of the value of the stone when traded-in on any stone of greater value (that can be $1 more), JA gives you 100% if your next stone is 2x prince. BG gives you 100% if you upgrade 2 of 3 color, clarity or carat. The benefit of a tradeup policy like WF,IMHO, is that you can make smaller changes over time (like just bump color or just bump size).

Thankyou both for the replies, I do like both the WF options(1.23 and 1.253ct). The JA4271546 is probably getting on the expensive side, its not H&A?

I guess it comes down to the setting really, I would prefer a knife edge band and BG said they could get the stuller bands made knife edge.

I only have 5.5 weeks until we leave for our holiday to Japan!

After speaking to WF I think i will go with them, they can modify their solitaire knife edge setting for a reasonable price in a good timeframe.

I will opt for a platinum setting so the 1.23ct ACA I originally posted will be at the top of my budget.(considering exchange rate and import tax)

Now to pick which ACA! What is everyones opinions of these? They should have more at the end of the week.

Difference between H & I is very subtle face up. For the money, I’d be going for the larger stone of the two.

Going for the 1.23ct? I currently have it on hold for 24 hours.

Is there any difference between a 1.1 hca and 0.9? The 1.203 has a cloud on the report but the photos look fine? Where as the 1.23 has more feathers and a natural inclusion.

I ended up going for the 1.23ct H VS2 from whiteflash with a semi custom platinum knife edge ring. Head turned, claw prongs and softened knife edge. It is ready to be shipped to Australia
