I didn’t realize that heliodor was so difficult to wear. Good luck coming on your quest for a garnet. Four yo five carats is actually quite large for most garnet species. I’m not sure if this holds true for the color you are seeking though.

It is because if the color. Warm yellow with brown-ish green-ish tints. NOT a versatile color.

Maybe not for everyone, I don't know. I just know that by the time I put on my jewel tone clothes - including many reds and blues - I end up looking like a flag.

It works only if I have exclusively neutrals on me - which I don't like doing.
I like my pops of colors (sometimes just a strong red lipstick) but if I also add the yellow in the ring, it's flag time.

Ruby and diamond lion stickpin ring with demantoid and garnet dragon ring and ruby stickpin snake ring. I bought the lion and snake as stick pins and had them converted by my local jeweler! 24k bangle.

Aww thank you! Haha I'm one of those people who never stop to think if I can pull a colour off or not. If I like it, I'll wear it to the death!

I don't wear black though, that's the only "colour" I won't wear.

Stacking my 3 stone halo ring / pendant with a diamond band of baguettes and rounds today. It's set with fancy grey-blue pear diamonds in pink diamond halos and a fancy pink-purple cushion in a white diamond halo. It's terribly hard to photograph so I'm posting a few in different lighting.





I had it made late last year end but was unsure if I made the right decision on its setting. Hence, I had been contemplating a reset and wearing it less often. I decided this year though that I'll rock it this way for now, until the next inspiration comes! I might have the prongs of the fancy pink-purple diamond plated with rose gold though. Was hoping it would frame the fancy pink-purple diamond a little better as it tends to get washed out in certain lighting conditions.
