Hi everyone,
So, I've lost the second oec melée from my antique bangle.
My go-to local jewellers with decent benches said they can't source oec melée.

Should I just go for rb standard melée?

I've had one of my TINY single cuts replaced by a RB in an antique channel set band pre PS (1 mm width) and the difference drove me crazy...
I guess the difference might be smaller between rb and oec, but I'm not sure...

Btw I'm not in the states, so shipping to a ps vendor for repairs won't work

Just read of what it took to get any of these in 2001 - WWW ... [1 pt OMCs mentioned]

I hope it is easier now !

(Bit depressing regarding my situation...)

Old World Diamonds, Love Affaire Diamonds, CVB, and Jewels by Grace all seem to have access to small OEC melee. I'm not sure whom you would want to contact first to see if it's possible to ship a single melee to Europe. You could also purchase an antique band to deconstruct off of eBay or a consignment site... but it may be difficult to find the right size, and the same cut to match your particular stones.

I've got an old 1913 setting with OEC melee in it and yes, that type of cut seems to be pretty rare and it's TINY. Good luck!

Thanks for the info on Yoram, Valeria!

I would see about just having some melee stones sent to you for jeweler to set locally. Currently, I have a small OEC being recut since it has a girdle chip, by a local-to-me jeweler. I'm nervous but hoping it turns out well (stone second from the left, you can kind of see the top isn't quite round).
