Help with JA cushion (ASETS included)

Hi experts,
Can you please let me know your thoughts on these James Allen cushions and help me interpret their ASETS? The first time I posted, I stumbled upon a very modern looking cut (also from JA) but in the end decided it was just too busy for me.
So here I am again because I much prefer these vintagey looking cuts but not sure if they are good stones? My budget is 4k so I'm trying to be realistic with what I can afford. Any feedback is much appreciated!

Cushion 1 (1st ASET):

The JA gemologist said they preferred cushion 2 over cushion 1 for "its attractive shape and brilliance which is present throughout the diamond. Its cut and light performance makes it the best option." Cushion 1 got "its bright too, but its briilance isn't as balanced."

I don't see any ASET.
While both have very pretty vintage-like facets, they appear mushy and leaky under the table.

This is also a J. But because it returns light very well, it appears alot whiter.
Both stones you listed show lots of mushy facets and yellow tint due to light leakage.

Although it is a slight different style, you want good balance of red, green and blue with minimal white, like this one below

Can you explain why you want to stay with JA? Is this an upgrade?

Yes, this is an upgrade with JA. I also really like being able to see videos of all the stones they offer, but if I can't find anything, maybe I should just look elsewhere. Although I feel my budget is too limited to look elsewhere. I could also just be patient!

Not JA, but these are both pretty antique cushions that have more spread than the ones you posted, but are elongated. A little mush, but I don't find it distracting. Depending on your existing stone, JBG may be willing to consign it.

Thanks rockysalamander for your suggestions! Very pretty stones from jbg. How I would love to own a real antique stone I think I need to be prudent and should stick to upgrading with JA since my original mrb is too insignificant to consign. I do appreciate everybody's help!

It has a pretty great cut for a cushion!
