Unheated Pink Sapphire Earrings From DK

Hi everyone! I am excited to share my latest setting project, a pair of pink sapphire earrings from David Klass. The pink sapphires are unheated and were cut by Gene several years ago and I always loved them. The lovely NKOTB was kind enough to let me rehome them for her a little over a year ago. I contacted David at the end of June with pictures and the whole process was very smooth. He sent me CADs a few days after I got the stones to him and the rest is history.

As usual, David's work is amazing and the sapphires look even better set than they did loose. They are so bright and pretty and I cannot wait to wear them all the time!

The first two pictures are David's and the rest are mine. The third photo shows the color of the stones the most accurately. In the photos it was very difficult for me to capture how well the sapphires match. They have a slight color difference in real life but it is not really noticeable.

What are the sizes of everything?

That's a great question, whitewave. The stones are .94 carats and .87 carats according to David's measurements and I would say they are just under 6 mm in diameter and the earrings are about 8 mm in diameter.

And minous, I definitely feel like royalty! I have worn them every day since they arrived. They are very comfortable and are not swallowed up by my very curly hair, which is a nice change of pace for me and earrings.
