I appreciate your posting this, Rfisher. The bells are, in my opinion, very nice. I cannot get past the mummies, however. Mummies just don't say "Christmas" to me. ;))

"The Shepherds' Farewell" from "L'enfance du christ" by Berlioz was mentioned as a favorite carol in another thread, so I am posting it here.

"O Holy Night" was also mentioned in the other thread. I own this CD made by Libera. I love their rendition of the song.

I couldn't understand a word, but it was snazzy. ;)) Last night we listened to "Jingle Bells" by Barenaked Ladies at the dinner table. It, also, was quite lively. I had it on a CD. I will see if it is on YouTube.

I appreciate yout posting this, stracci, as I like us to expand our musical horizons. However...it is not my cup of tea.... It's a bit too hard rock for me.

Well, speaking of different ...I love this version of "Jingle Bells" by SHeDAISY. I am going to look through this thread to be sure I didn't already post it! The traditional version leaves me cold (no pun intended).

ETA: I did already post this once before on this thread but I am going to let this second posting stay. It fits in with the other "Jingle Bells" versions.
