I would selfishly, hopefully with the knowledge of now, go back to when my kiddos were small. I had my entire family alive then and everything felt carefree and light. What a happy and loving time in my life ...

What about you @missy ?

I don't know. I haven't thought about it yet. I just start the threads lol. But when I have time I will think about it thoughtfully. I love your reply.

My gut response is to go back 10 years to when we first rescued Francesca and get to have that time back all over again. I miss her so much I cannot even adequately express how much I miss her. :(

My dh wants to go ahead 50 years to see how NYC has changed. I am not sure I want to know.

I don’t want to know either.

I think we all wish to have time back with our passed loved ones. I’m sorry your Francesca is not still here with you. I know I will be feeling much the same when Chase crosses over. :blackeye:

New York City and Paris in the 1920’S, to party with F. Scott & Zelda Fitzgerald, Cole and Linda Porter and their friends. (But not Ernest Hemingway.)

Oooh maybe back to the 1800's? I've always felt born out of my time...

I'd go back to the day I joined the military at age 19.
All things considered, those six years were the best of my life.

Out of curiosity, why the Fitzgeralds and not Papa?

i have 2 friends ive never met and saddly Mark passed away a few years ago
but they are both Brooklyn Bruce buds who had been going to see Bruce together forever
1978 is legendary with Springsteen fans
id go back to see whatever show Billy and Mark enjoyed the most and id tag along with them for the evening

I never cared for Papa’s writings, except for “The Old Man And The Sea”. Too much forced machismo. Never liked Norman Mailer either, for the same reason. I liked the outcome of “Cat In The Rain”, but always wanted to throttle the husband.

My great grandfather and Hemingway were close cousins. My very proper southern grandmother whose maiden name was Hemingway was embarrassed when people found out the relation, lol he was a drunkard! Anyway, my son's middle name is Hemingway, but I honestly don't care for his writing either.

I would love to go back to when my kids were small but I wouldn't want to stay there and do it all over again.
