That is deliciously glowy. Just gorgeous!

Well done!!!!!

Thank you! And well done Wriston for finding the stone! Just looked at it this morning and I love it... more spam pics to come haha

What a neon, glowy stone! I'm not usually into green gemstones, but this one looks amazing :lickout:

Love the color and size of your new tsavorite!

Thank you! It’s a beautiful stone indeed and making my Sunday a very happy one heh

It’s absolutely gorgeous! I love that glowing green color (and the size is a major win).

Thank you! It really makes me want more glowy stones.

Hahahah. I think my phone amps up the green on the jade ring but he does have a really neon one that I like a lot.

@icy_jade you better declare right now what that Divine red ring you're wearing is!!!!

The tsav is amazing though!!!! I didn't know they could glow like that. I'm broke so I'll settle for being green with envy.

I posted it before. It’s a Mexican opal that I recently set in a biiiiiig halo. Wriston got the setting and then I really liked the setting so I took a loose stone from my collection that fit and set it. It’s super orange irl. The first pic shows the color best.

This tsav glows like the first tsav I saw but no cracks inside. Love it so much!

Thank you! I’m eagerly waiting for my regular jeweller’s HK settings supplier to come. Probably big halo hahaha. @mellowyellowgirl and I should probably form the big halo girls club.

Does anyone know If this is considered “neon” color for tsavorite? Was trying to read up on tsav colors but wasn’t successful in looking up any articles.

Any links will be much appreciated! Thank you!

Most definitely not "neon." In fact while it is a very nice stone with great hue, saturation and tone, I do not see any glow in the photos. It is, however, a big gorgeous tsavorite.

Just to be clear, I have seen (and owned) many, many tsavs and have never seen one I'd consider "glowy."

I can't believe you went for a second big tsavorite. Congrats! It's beautiful.:appl:

Although not all screens will show glow from your pictures, I believe what people consider "glowy" or "neon" is really subject to personal perception, since two individuals looking at the same stone will see different colors individually. I personally do not consider tsavorites to be glowy, but I think that the color can be an electric "neon" color under dim light. This is what I see from my "crown" ring with the Kenyan tsavorite suite that I got from Yvonne.

I think that I see more "neon" tsavorite material in Kenyan tsavorites than Tanzanian material, which in some instances can be a more minty grossular.

Mine has the glow you are talking about, but only in certain lighting. Most of the time it's a clear sparkly pool of green water.

Yes yes that’s the glow I’m talking about. Not like kryptonite type of glow but under the right light it’s glowy.

And I love your tsav!! The shape, the glow, everything.

Under the right conditions as mentioned above the stone does look glowy. And it’s not the first one I’ve seen that’s glowy cos the first one I’d posted is even more glowy, thanks to all the inclusions, and a few tsavs being sold online are described as ‘neon’.

According to my jeweller this color is rare and is simply green. No trade terms used for tsav apart from ‘vivid green’. So not sure how to describe what I’m looking for when I go shopping...

I have a lighter, more mint tsavorite that glows :) Like with emeralds, I've seen beautiful tsavorites in lighter and darker hues.

Yes yours looks glowy too! Yours looks like a very saturated mint? I mostly see lots of darker tsavs, trade ideal darker vivid greens locally.

Thanks for posting all of these fabulous photos. It was as if you took us shopping with you. Your new Tzav is beautiful.

Thanks and most welcome. It’s too bad not all stores are so open... else I’ll definitely post more!

I think the more included material looks more ‘glowy’? Wasn’t sure about the right description that’s why I was asking. :)

The bluish green minty ones can be glowy. They look like pale emerald or green paraiba.

I guess it depends on your definition of glowy ;))
