If you could bring just 3 albums with you to that desert island where you are stranded.

Just top of my head and I know I am leaving out amazing albums and probably when I have more time to think about it I might choose differently but at 4:25AM this morning top of my head these are the 3 I would choose. Probably.

Eagles Hotel California

Leonard Cohen Greatest Hits Album

Billy Joel Greatest Hits

Daisys and Diamonds

oh this is toooooooo hard
of course it would be Bruce, but now we have the archive series the quality of these offical bootlegs are so good
mind you i only have them in mp3 form so i guess im surposed to choose real albums - there better be a nice record player on this island

Darkness on the edge of town
exsplained to me all the things about life i didn't understand or found to be unfair
im probably going to cheat and bring the rip off the dvd of the full album the E Street band did in the empty Paramount theatre for the 30th anniversary box set
actually i hope this island has a dvd player because this box set is my favourite possession - it is included in our earthquake evacuation plan

ok well ill listen to that for like the first year

now its getting hard
i guess i better pack born to run
220px-BruceSpringsteenDarknessontheEdgeofTown-1.jpg opps
ive got darkness twice
well all that sand i night need a spair copy anyway 220px-Born_to_Run_(Front_Cover).jpg

ok Born to run

now its just toooooo hard
this century Bruce has been so prolific i do try very much not to have favourites
can i just take like my thumb drive thingy and bring the whole back catalogue

but if this is about surving alone on a desert island i guess im staying in the 70s and taking a little bit of NYC, a little bit of the Jersey shore with me
Wild, innocent and the E street shuffle

I can't decide on three, but I would definitely be taking (the extended edition of) the soundtrack to Interstellar - an amazing soundtrack, a real 'journey' when played on a large sound system with bass capabilities extending below 20Hz.

Meet the Beatles, With the Beatles, Hard Day's Night.

I do love so many other groups, but if it's just 3, it's Beatles. :)

Strange, but I wouldn't pick music but probably audio books. I think that would be more appealing?

Tell you what @elizat I'll give you both. Choose 3 of your favorite albums of all time and 3 of your favorite audio books. I prefer to read my books so maybe we should start a thread 3 favorite books (audio or not) of all time?

I love the Beatles too. Just didn't make the cut lol. Most didn't make the cut and there are so many freaking amazing artists to choose from that it is almost impossible. So many musical geniuses.

Haha I knew one (all?) of your choices would be Springsteen. :) I love the way you think. 70s and NYC and Jersey Shore. Sweet.

And I would love to take Led Zep. too, but Houses of the Holy - just for that song itself. Eagles, Jackson Browne, CCR....way to many.

Me too! And yes. Way too many greats. But it's fun to think about, no?

Lol, no it's too hard!

LOL I guess it depends on my mood whether or not it's fun. It's too hard to pick 3 of almost anything. Books, food, music, etc. But it is interesting to think about.

Books are tough but I think I have them. Movies would oddly be easier. Music is definitely the thardest.

That's one group I would love to see in concert. Didn't get to see them during the 70's when I was a teenager. :(sad
