I think it's unique and the more I look at it, the more I like it. It's not often we see unique on PS these days. If it were mine, I'd remove the "owl" portion, turn it so the pears are north/south and make it into a pin or pendant and I'd still have stones to play around with.

I would just never wear this as a pendant. (Besides a classic studs ) I only want rings idk why

Maybe because you rock rings. Your hands are gorgeous (IMO I know how you feel about them) and rings look freaking amazing on you.

I’m currently wearing it as is. It’s a beast. I can rock anything (haha) but which would I prefer long term

My vote then is to wear as is until you are more sure of what you want long term. That way you get to know it as you wear it and maybe new ideas will come to mind or maybe you will decide that you do want it this way long term. Don't rush into anything until you are more sure. It is a beast but a beautiful odd beast and maybe one you will fall in love with as you get to know it. Or not. Either way you can change it any time you like so it's not like your decision is final if you wear it as is for now. But if you change it that is final in a way. I mean you can change it back but why.

Right that’s my though. Unless I find the very perfect stone to put in it I. If I find something perfect that’s one thing but at this point I don’t have anything to use so no reason to both pay to remove the stones and also make it unwearable

I saw a girlfriend today who confirmed my suspicions by saying “oh it’s prettier in person” lol

It's a bizarre ring - like the designer couldn't decide so mashed two completely different styles together... It's fun & unique but if you don't love it -I'd reset.

I have no idea why but it reminds me of the full coverage wrestling masks and.m with being said...I still like the ring a lot! Now, given that you asked the question...I think you may want to reset it so it doesn’t nag at you!

Well to be fair I bought it TO tear apart and the idea of leaving it is new. Not the other way around lol
Yes I see that too.

I get it. I have a TON of necklaces, but only 3 of them do I actually wear (a 0.3 oec diamond solitaire which I want to eventually replace with around 1-1.3 ct oec diamond solitaire pendant, a fancy antique diamond pendant I wore at my wedding that I wear on a longer chain for layering with it, and a tsav-leuco-diamond three-stone pendant). Rings are just my jam.

So yeah, I'm all for taking it apart. Because the alien eyes and the whole asymmetric thing... not really doing it for me. It's clear whoever made it had a Vision but I really, really question it, lol.

What a fascinating ring! It makes me think of a spider under the moon. I wouldn't have the heart to take it apart myself.

Not to stir the pot but I’m pretty sure I could use 8 stones plus pears to make a cluster fit especially for grace.

No. Leave her alone.
Unless by chance you are then looking for a home for your two leftover 3mm’s I’m short on for a project

That sounds pretty yummy though I would still wear it as is for a bit just to make sure you don't love it as is. It is pretty unique and it's growing on me and I am just a bystander. And you said it was prettier IRL and I think it is special just viewing it online. But a cluster fit for grace also sounds sweet.

I'm torn on this one. It is a beautiful, unique ring and I know you could rock it. However, you have done wonders in reworking jewelry and I've no doubt you'd make something spectacular out of it. I think either way you go is a win!

I love the alien concept as it makes for a great conversation piece. It would have been less obvious if the pears were not set east to west but rather north to south. I would reset.

I agree on turning the pears North-South, but would also add a matching crescent moon to the other side of the ring. IMHO the end result would be fabulous!

There is no way I am doing anything to his existing ring other than a complete tear down. I won’t be paying to rotate the pears or get 8 3mm old cuts to do a moon on the other side. Not worth it for the payout

How much would you wear this ring as it exists now? That would dictate to me whether you should remake it into something that you would love to wear. Those .5 carat old pears deserve better IMO. Nice find collection of beautiful old cuts!

I agree, it's so darned odd (Pokeman?) that it's appealing and with that workmanship it seems a shame to tear it apart. You seem to have a surfeit of gorgeous, tasteful rings. Maybe wear this foster child for a while and see how you feel about it.

Ancient Greek Corinthian helmets )))...classicism! And the top portion would correlate to the red crest on the helmet. And plus, the ring is made so well!
