If i had your stone i’d actually be very happy...your petals look more dainty. Mine looks sharp and blunt. I dont know what to do.
Hmmm, I totally see what you mean. Can you ask for a recut? Maybe @jrzgrl1119 will have some advice since she had success getting a better stone for her ring.

Hey, just saw this now. To have my stone recut I showed them a close pictures of the flaws in my stone. I told them I had wanted to post pictures to pricescope but I didn't think they'd like me to post them. I gave them a chance to make it right. Flora was very helpful

Hi ladies! I was so happy to find this thread. All of your pieces are stunning and unique! I just love them. I have been speaking with Flora who has been so patient with me in regards to my desire for a moissanite tennis bracelet. Eventually we thought that 4 prong, 4 mm traditional bracelet is the way to go. I want it in 14 k white gold and the stones to be DEF. she sent me a video of it on her wrist and then quoted me this :
$1345 for 14k white gold 4mm DEF moissanite 6.5inch. Does that seem like a good price? I honestly have no idea so I would love some thoughts from you experts! It seems high to me because it seems simple to make, not a complicated customized piece, but again, I don’t khow. Also, I asked about 2.5ctw OEC studs in white gold and age quoted me $337.00, these seem higher than normal but I don’t know!
Any help would be appreciated!

Oh and I am crazy about the OEC antique looking ring! That is amazing and I really need that set now too, lol. May i ask the size of the OEC and your hand size??? It’s stunning. Also, I know its horribly inappropriate but I am curious about a price range? If you can just point me in the right direction i would love it. I am curious what I would be quoted.
Again, thanks for having this thread out for people like me who love the newer moissanites but am so unfamiliar with these companies!!

The top one is a fun one I got in silver to see if I really wanted to wear a tennis bracelet daily. I also asked about a bezel setting and was told they couldn’t do it in the size stone I was wanting which is a 3mm.
Ok, thank you ladies for any advice or help, so very much appreciated!

I think that price for 2.5 tcw OEC size earrings in white gold sounds about right. I assume you went with near colorless as they look much better in that color. I ordered 1 carat tw from another Chinese vendor and paid around $240 so it sounds logical.

The tennis bracelet is pretty expensive but I assume it has to do with the 4 mm and the DEF colorless. Are you willing to go down to near colorless or 3 mm size stones to reduce the costs? Unfortunately, the trade war with China means the gold prices have been on the rise and that is why prices feel so much higher right now. I think if I were going to spend over a $1000 for a piece of jewelry, I would be switching to lab diamonds. I think they sparkle more and are easier to replace if you loose one....my .02 cents.

Good point about the trade war, I hadn’t even thought of that! Such wisdom on this site. Thank you!

I just posted about this earlier but on the wrong thread.
Just a *WARNING* about Provence Gems @provence_moissanite.

The photos they post "moissanite ring from customer!" or "photo from happy customer" may NOT even be their work/ their moissanite. IE they take credit for other jeweler's work!

I had went to her to ask about creating a larger version of a diamond ring that was my own and she had posted it as her work and as her moissanite! My photo, my ring, and definitely not something they created. I believe the agent I spoke with was called Mona.

Just a heads up!

Well that’s a little disturbing. I haven’t ordered a moissanite directly from them though. I am curious because there is a ‘Mona’ used to work for Starsgem but started her own company. I think she calls it Mona Fine Jewelry but I am not sure her contact details now. There could be another person named Mona at Provence but I haven’t heard anyone mention that name. Only Flora or Elva from them. Just curious which one it was. Did you see your ring on IG somewhere?

I did see my ring on their instagram. I confronted her and told her to take it down because it was NOT her work. After a bit of resistance she did. Should I post her contact information so you know who I dealt with?

I dont know if that is a against forum policy. Let me see if I can message you her photo / number.

Same here...

Sadly, this isn't the first shady thing she/they've done, but it is the worst.

There's more? That makes me nervous. I have a ring in production with them.

Nothing that hasn’t been mentioned in this thread already. Several of us asked for pics and videos of our stones before they were shipped out and we all got the same exact pic and video. I chalked it up to the language barrier and that they interpreted the request as “show me A stone” and not “show me MY stone.” Nothing I would’ve cancelled my order over but after posting a pic of someone’s ring and claiming it to be their own makes me not want to work with them again.

Yeah...that is not cool! They have a much more aggressive sales approach which always made me hesitate to order from them. I draw the line at these sorts of sales tactics though. I can’t image SG or Tianyu doing this. I was just considering ordering a band from them because of how cheap some of the other’s have gotten them but I will not with people that do this. There are a lot of people ordering over on weddingbee and I am sure they are completely unaware they are doing this.

Don’t feel bad about posting her number because this is not right. It means they will be doing it to other people too. I am not sure why she thought posting a diamond as a moissanite was a good thing. Especially from someone she was conversing with. I am scratching my head but there is no emoji for that....

Are you against posting on this thread. just to mention what you said? I think it is something people should be aware of and most the orders come off these two boards.

I dont have an account for that but I will see if I can post a warning there too.
Yes, it was definitely sketchy and I dont know how she thought I wouldnt recognize my own ring/hand/photo?!

I just dont want other customers to be fooled into thinking the product they receive will look like some of the photos she posts- because it might NOT be her work, or not even moissanite at all....

I have to say that I am surprised that she would think you wouldn’t notice. I don’t know if you sent her the pic so you could make a bigger version of the ring or if she found it some other way? If you don’t want to post it over there, I can take a screen shot and do it for you. I just think people should know and then they can make their own decision about it they want to place an order with them.

Oh gosh now I don't know what to do at all. The majority of people i've encountered here and on other forums are happy with the service and product but the revelations above are making me seriously concerned. I was just about to pay to get my CAD but maybe I need to go to SG instead. Although in our initial conversations I found them not so helpful (comments about small stone) and Flora so lovely and understanding of the style I want. HMMM

@swaye2010 Please feel free to share my post on the wedding forum!

I had sent her the picture myself - but she did not ask me if she could post it and she definitely should not have taken credit for it!

This is just my personal opinion but I would go with Stargems instead...

SG has recently had a lot of turnover. If you can work with Demi, I think she is the most experienced at this point and has the best English ([email protected]). Lucy has been helpful but I can tell it is being run through a translator. Not sure about Sue or LuLu yet but they are new.

I think with Provence, you have to make your own mind up on what you feel most comfortable with. Everyone’s experience might be different... I do know that neither Tianyu or Starsgem has ever done anything like this since in all the years we have been working with them so far.

Frustrating experience with Provence gems. Asked for 7mm OEC earring and pendant, showing flora pictures and videos of all the pretty OeCs other girls have gotten from them. I specifically asked to see the stones before setting so we wont have any problems with the stone, and they agreed to show first....but set it without showing nonetheless.

First they set greenish stones and tried to pass it off as okay

https://imgur.com/gallery/XbK38mP

I said no and they replaced the stones with pizza pie cut

https://imgur.com/gallery/99e6ZaH

i said no again because i specifically asked for dainty flower petals and was very specific. This is what they gave me in the end

https://imgur.com/gallery/ZFBBvB3

Flower petals but the proportions are so off...the cut is not the traditional OEC, the table is too big. Flora said no more revisions and I have to take this. It arrived it looks so plastic and fake, looks worse than cubic zirconia. The savings I got as opposed to going with starsgem, all the frustration and bad quality end product, just isn’t worth it. Lesson painfully learnt: the quality of the Provence gem cuts, particularly their OeC, just isnt consistent and at par with other suppliers yet.
