Indeed!

Anyone knows more about that fab. brooch Queen wore to Scotland? I haven't been found much about it. LOVE it!

QueenMary.jpg
Her Majesty, Queen Mary wearing the diamond thistle brooch on her toque. Princess Elizabeth is beside her.

"A new photographic portrait of The Queen was taken in 2010 and unveiled for the Scottish Parliament in 2011, featuring The Queen wearing - for apparently the first time - a unique diamond brooch. The brooch has the appearance of a key from afar, but up close it becomes a diamond thistle with two leaves forming a wreath and a long stem.

Information released with the new portrait identified the long brooch as a diamond thistle that belonged to The Queen's grandmother, Queen Mary. The brooch may have been a gift to Queen Mary from the contractors of Kelvin Hall, which was officially opened during a visit from King George V and Queen Mary to Glasgow on July 12, 1927. The contractors presented her with a hat brooch of diamonds set in platinum, designed by Edward & Sons.* Despite not being worn until 2010, The Queen most likely inherited it along with much of the rest of Queen Mary's jewel collection on her death in 1953.

The brooch had to wait seven years for its next outing, at another Scottish occasion. This offers the first real opportunity to see this brooch in full detail. "

well done tracking down that brooch
that's a great picture of Queen Mary and Elizabeth
Mary was always so very stately and had such a regal air about her.

@Rad_Fan Noticing an intriguing little chain bracellet in the first 'Hague' picture - with an unusual bead & bar attachment that must be moving around unexpectedly & allot - not exactly what one wants of bracellets, but perhaps this one does it right, for once? (I know I'd try that one just about now)

never mind these necklases i can bearly see which might be fine for someone like Lady Louise just learning to step out in public, but not for a senior royal

Absolutely!

Both Queen Elizabeth II of England and The Duchess of Cornwall are pictured wearing strands of pearls with pearl earring in photos just above the one of the Japanese Royals on this page. It used to be the rule to wear diamonds only in the evening. Her Majesty often wears pearls during the day. :))

She didn't halo it, did she? Does look bigger.

I don't know - it's pretty blurry but now that you mention it that is possible.

Here are a few from Archie's christening! Meghan kept it quite simple with just earrings and her wedding set, it appears.
