Update on my project with Mona. I have approved of these earrings. It is a bit difficult to see really well in these pictures I think, but the stones have a nice petal facet pattern which is visible. I will be waiting impatiently to see these irl.

I'm still waiting for my pair of G/H colored OEC moissys.

But in the meantime, I have already received my earring settings.

I ordered them from TransGems on AliExpress. They were super responsive and quick. I got a CAD after 1 day and the earring settings after just 1 week. They are really well made. I'm very impressed.

Yes, platinum. If there had been a choice of nickel-free 18k I would have gone for that. But this is very good from the aspect that I have quality settings now, should I wish to swap the stones. Not that it is likely, but you never know !

@tpl001, Thank you ! I chose to work with Mona much because I had seen that she could provide stones with petals instead of pinwheel patterning.

@GlitterInMyHair Def colour. I first intended to get GH but Mona sent me a video of Omcs to check colour and I felt that I was too colour sensitive to feel OK with GH. So maybe not the true antique touch on these . In these pics I suspect they've picked up some colour from the flower behind.

LOL, thanks for replying to my question! I've been meaning to ask Mona to make me some earrings in 24K gold. I just have to figure out if I want them bezel or prong and if I want H&As or OECs. Hoping you get to share them when you receive them in the mail so I can get some inspiration!

That was my thinking as well, when I got the setting in 18k gold (just in case I want to swap for diamonds in the future, lol).

So, I got CADs for my OEC ring in platinum, size 6 with a 7.5mm GH OEC.
Overall I like the rounder look Mona's team gave it.
I requested 1.8mm thick shank and 2.2mm width, the CADs show thicker (2.05mm and 2.4mm) but I'm assuming it will polish down. Although if it did come in thicker, I wouldn't mind because of some durability issues I'm suspecting with their platinum alloy. Plus I love metal! And hefty rings! It's coming in at 6.5grams
Green is Mona, white was my Inspo pic...

Any thoughts?

I am not expert on ring CAD but, I think I like the curve of the cathedral shoulder more than the straight one. It makes the ring more feminine. The specs. numbers look fine too.

My ring is here and it’s beautiful. Great craftsmanship except the stone looks yellow for GH. I’m not sure if I’m just seeing things but I’ll take more pictures later when I have betterment lighting.

I agree with @lovedogs , it looks more IJ to me. I'm not color sensitive but my GH doesn't show color when I tilt it on the side like that. Actually, I can't see any color unless I directly hold it next to a colorless moissy. I would try to hold your ring against a white background and see if you see any color, too. It could be that the stone is picking up colors from the background.

It just got delivered so I haven’t spoken to her yet. I’m usually not color sensitive either but it definitely picks up lots of yellow. It’s a cloudy day and I took everything in natural light so I know it’s not an issue with the lighting color. I just want to make sure I’m not being over dramatic and that I’m justified in saying it doesn’t look GH to me

@baileydare16 I'll see if I can grab my GH when I get home and take a pic on its side for you. Mine is still loose, but I have a stone holder.

Granted, my moissy is small (6.0mm) and I know that larger stones tend to show more color than small ones. I wonder if someone else has larger GH stones who can chime in; maybe @swaye2010 ?
