In my experience, I've had to place/pay for the order, then choose stones.

Thank you!

I have three pieces I want...have people been generally happy with the custom settings they’ve gotten?

I’ve gotten two rings made that I’ve received so far and 3 more in the works and I’m actually about to order another. I love mine; I’m very happy with the stones and the settings. I’ve worked with Demi on my orders and she is always very quick to get back to me and has been very helpful with suggestions and photos of stones and final products. I feel like I’m getting my money’s worth with the pieces I’ve received, I don’t think they feel flimsy or cheap at all.

Soooo...just purchased a loose 6.0mm OMC in GH color!

I decided to forego the setting; I texted the photo of the setting to my jeweler and he said he would want the head to be die-struck. I didn’t think it was necessary since it’s not like the setting is exposed but it gave me pause.

I’ll share photos of the OMC when received. :mrgreen2: Finally something that isn’t round or colorless!

I really cannot wait. I kept waffling between this and a French cut eternity band for weeks. Ultimately I couldn’t commit to the band because I hated the idea of crushing the stones. I may just buy a CZ eternity or half eternity on Berricle or Amazon. If I can handle those, I might upgrade to the moissys. :twisted2::lol:

So - Lucy sent an updated CAD this morning. They've built up the sides of the shank a bit for comfort as I requested, and I think it will look good! IMG-20190415-WA0000.jpg
Looks much better and more comfortable now!

9x9mm GH color OMC in white gold. Not the greatest photos, but the stone is gorgeous in person.
Pictured with my 11x9mm emerald cut also by Starsgem.
I love it!!!!

Side note: Demi was amazing to work with. Love the service at Starsgem better than Tianyu.

@Ksparkles87 , the facets on your OMC are gorgeous! That’s part of the reason I went with Starsgem over Tianyu, too. I didn’t like the look of Tianyu’s OMC (both the square and rectangle look weird to me), not to mention it helps Starsgem is a bit cheaper!

For those that have ordered from Starsgem before, how long does it take for them to ship via DHL? I was quoted 3-5 days. Seems fast so want to find out. I will be out of town soon so want to coordinate to make sure I get the package before I take off.

They have a contract with DHL Speedpak so once it arrives at DHL Hong Kong and starts tracking, it usually arrives within 3 business days to the US. If you are in Canada or another VAT territory, you have to pay the taxes and then DHL will release it for delivery.

Thanks @swaye2010! I'm in the US so assuming it means no need to pay taxes!

I think I paid around $560 for the ring? It’s 9k white gold, size 6, with 1mm rounds for the under halo and 1.8mm round melee stones. Demi is who I’ve been working with and she’s amazing. I ordered the emerald cut solitaire and the OMC ring through eBay and then emailed Demi directly for 3 additional rings that I have them making right now and I’m about to add a 4th oval ring here shortly. I love both the emerald solitaire and the OMC, the facets on both are perfect. The emerald gives gorgeous flashes of sparkle and the OMC offers a beautiful mix of flashes and sparkle. Only thing I’d change is I’d get the emerald colorless instead of GH, only because of the slight warmth that shows more given the large size of the stone and step faceting. I’m considering ordering a new one in DEF and selling the GH solitaire, but not positive yet.

Here’s a better photo of the of the emerald cut paired with my real diamond band.

I know! Lol! I just need to have them alllllll! There are just so many cuts I’ve wanted to try for a long time in larger carat weights and this is the perfect opportunity at great prices to do that! I’ll definitely share when I receive them all!

Do you find it’s better to reach a particular salesperson directly or just email the [email protected] address?

My project list is getting a little out of control...

You can start with Cherry at the above email address but she will probably assign you to a rep. It is sometimes faster just to start with WhatsApp or the chat system on their Alibaba page.

My OMC is here!!!! And I freaking love it!!!! :kiss2::love: I was worried I wouldn't love it as much as the OEC but I don't regret getting this one at all. I made the right choice:

At 6.0mm it is the perfect size! I know everyone likes big stones but this one fits my size 3.75-4.0 finger perfectly, ahhhh!!! And the GH is amazing in antique cuts. I can actually SEE the beautiful facets and the depth of the stone!

Demi was so lovely to work with and I can definitely say I am a Starsgem fan. I cannot wait to get this mounted onto yellow gold!

They are very good with the cushion’s and I agree that the G/H is the way to go. You need a little color to be able to appreciate the facet pattern. Can’t wait to see what you do with it!

Thank you, @swaye2010 ! You’re absolutely right about GH. Thanks for all your helpful advice, despite my annoying indecision! :roll I’ll keep you all posted with my ring project... :kiss2:

Omg that faceting is glorious! And the color is perfect. Not start white but not obviously tinted either. I can't wait to see what you do with it!

What is the official WhatsApp? Or should I just pick a rep’s WhatsApp?

Thanks! And you’re right, the color is very subtle. There is no yellow in it or any strange coloring; it’s just a smooth vanilla.

I think I might be a GH convert after this. While I love the stark white of my rounds, the GH is still very white with better depth.
