I’ll get the hang of this, YET!!

I thought for sure the setting would cause more of an obstruction. Obviously, I’m pleasantly surprised with the results!

I think these ASET images are fantastic (not because I took them)!! This stone is crazy bright, with beautiful contrast, and performance.
Granted, I know that, already; I’ve been wearing it for over 2 years, BUT, these images confirm that....
I’m so proud of my “Uisce”!!
This new experience is teaching me so much!! I’m really enjoying it!!!

Now for better pics, center the diamond in the scope and center the camera lens over the hole in the scope, the table of the diamond and the top of the scope and the camera lens all need to be parallel. The girdle level with the mouth of the scope.

That was my focus....so much more complex when actually doing it...lol!!! I’ll keep practicing, though!!
It’s a good thing that I actually find this exciting!! Otherwise, this could be quite taxing!
I’ll see what I can come up with & post the results.....

I tried to center the camera against the lens as much as possible...
These still turned out great!!!

Good job, the second one the camera is tilted. The first one is near perfect other than the stone it to far into the scope and some tilt of the stone.

Once you see how to far into the scope looks and tilt you can get an idea how to read not well taken ASET images.
To far into the scope its to much blue, tilted is to much green and blue.
Not far enough into the scope is to much green and not enough red.
When compared to properly taken images.

The fact you chose it 'blind', without an ASETscope and using only your eyes (IIRC??) shows how good ASET performance gives good 'real life' performance!

It’s hard holding these ASET scopes up to your phone camera withbone hand while holding the stone with the other and still trying to have a finger to push the shutter button!

Yes, you are correct: this diamond was evaluated by naked eye examination, with and without magnification. I examined it without magnification. DH examined it with and without magnification.
I held this diamond in different lighting environments, and rotated it, close to my face & away from my face, to watch the movement, and its performance.
I looked for the dead center phenomenon, and for the Black Abyss across the belly, in the shadows. I found nothing negative about it.
It ticked every box (granted, the SI2 clarity wasn’t appealing, until DH got a good look at it under magnification), including the fact that it fell UNDER the budget I set.
To be completely honest, I have always wanted a 2+ct diamond, but this diamond captivated me, and the size was above reasonable for the price tag. It also faces up LARGER than its equally-sized counterparts, and APPEARS larger on my hand.
I really LOVE the cut of this diamond, and the facet pattern is beautiful.
This diamond fits my personality, perfectly.
DH almost passed on this diamond, at the time we found it. I persisted that he place it on hold, until he could determine this diamond truly wasn’t “the one”.
He knew how much I loved this diamond, and he made my dreams come true...by trusting his gut & mine.

I did make a second attempt with Yoram’s Asschers. They turned out SO MUCH BETTER...lol!!!

Agreed: taking these photos with ideal precision/angles, lining everything up parallel, and having a free hand to capture the photo is extremely difficult.
I find enjoyment in it, especially, when I’ve successfully captured an improved image from the last.
