New deco(?) OEC ring

So I’ll take some better pics and do proper measurements when I get home, but I had to post this new old deco (or nouveau) diamond ring I just found today at a pawn store. Hubby said we were going to a town about an hour away cuz they have a big pawn store and it’s xmas and we’ll have dinner. So. Didn’t think I’d find anything. But this one twinkled at me through the case and I was hooked. Once I louped her, I had to have her. My first OEC. The surrounding stones are single cuts. Loupe clean!!! Platinum.

It is gorgeous!!! And to find it in a pawn shop....I could only dream of finding something so beautiful.

Eeek!! I know! So a thousand more pics. I can’t measure the height because of the setting but the main stone is 6.46x6.54mm. The 16 single cuts range from 1.6-2mm. Plus... I waited for them to take another five percent off (of the 10 they started at) then they added the lifetime sizing and melee warranty and... after I hemmed and hawed... they threw in a rose gold scatter ring I was also looking at. And my husband’s cordless screwdriver too!!

The thumb ring looks similar to the Benchmark (sold by Whiteflash and others). But it’s stamped AK. When I google makers marks with AK, they all come up AK TURKEY. This doesn’t say turkey, so I’m not sure the maker. It’s totally new or freshly polished with seven diamonds (4 smalller and 3 bigger). Super comfy dome top and comfort fit slides on like butter.

Not legally “criminally low” but yah, for a platinum ring with an easy carat for the OEC center (vs minimum) and another third in the side stones ... I totally stole it!!

Ninety-five percent of my “good” jewelry is from pawn shops. You just need a bit of knowledge to be dangerous

I’m going to have to live vicariously - our pawnshops here are never as good! It’s all little melee or big cloudy diamonds for thousands

The good stuff goes quickly, as you can imagine. So going in frequently for recon missions is required.
