There'll be more experienced comments to follow so take this with a grain of salt but the reason<1 is said to be better for pendants is because stones in that range may darken when obstructed. Think of it how ppl will hold a ring right up in front of their face to examine or show it off. Idk how big of a deal it is but that's my understanding of the reasoning.
As for the diamond listed.. the crown angle is shallow so I'd personally want an aset before committing.

I'm not a professional by any means, but based on what the pros here say yes it is. Not to say it won't be beautiful, but I'd want more proof before I laid down the$.
You're also looking at D color & VS1 which will be crisp & stunning, but if you went to maybe F/VS2 you'd be able to get a cut more in line with what's recommended or even more size. I'm not saying give up on the diamond u picked until the aset comes... But if you post your budget & minimum 4Cs then you'll get some options suggested.

post the ASET here if you get one or do a search for the gia# to see if maybe images for this stone exist at other vendors

This is not a stone I'd recommend or buy. The crown is too shallow at 33 and will throw too much white light. You want at least a 34 crown coupled with a higher 40.9 pavilion to help provide a balance between fire (rainbow light) and white light return.

In general, you can use these parameters to find ideal cut stones:
  • 54-57 table
  • 60-62.4 depth (prefer <62)
  • 34-35 crown (maybe 35.5, if paired with 40.6 pavilion)
  • 40.6-40.9 pavilion (maybe 41, if paired with 34 crown)
  • 75-80 lower girdle facets (many prefer 75 for fatter arrows & bolder flashes)
  • Crown & pavilion angles must be complimentary. So a steep crown needs a shallow pavilion and vice versa. Some popular combos would be 35/40.6, 34/40.9 or 34.5/40.7 for example.

Agreed. Without an ASET or IS I wouldn't recommend this one.

You see the light ring around the center circle?
You want that area to be solid red. Suggest you filter using the specs Sledge provided or tell us your minimum specs & budget so we can help you find something.
Is D& vvs necessary?

There is nothing wrong with and everything to like about the 1.00, D, VVS2. Nice ASET. Nice proportions (https://enchanteddiamonds.com/v/793985319 . I'd pass on the 0.95 where the ASET is pretty bad (https://enchanteddiamonds.com/v/859Z4Z351).

You have selected VERY high clarity and color. Is that necessary or desirable culturally? This VS2 F is lovely.

At $9550, for the ED 1.00, you get a super-ideal diamond. This would also offer a 100% trade-in value if you spend just $1 more -- whereas other vendors require you spend double.

At just over the cost of the ED 0.95, you can get this super-ideal.

I'm short of time right now, but other PS member can peek at other vendors for you.

What are your thoughts on the (small) area around the 8-9 o'clock position? Or the missing "inverted V's" between the arrows? And also the hearts image?

As you mentioned, if the OP can back off the D VVS requirements a little bit then a much nicer stone can be acquired for these dollars.

The 1.00 D VVS is not a a super-ideal with perfect cutting. That area you noted looks to be a lower cut off-angle. So, there is some leakage. But, its hard not to find flaws with the diamonds in the mass pool these days. I think the H&A image is poorly taken. I don't think its a perfect stone, but it is probably better than it looks in that images when you study the video and photos. I think for a diamond "muggle," this will be a pretty stone that looks good. The 0.95 is another story and should be eliminated. Too many issues.

Color and clarity are driving the cost to meet the size. If the OP can re-evaluate those criteria, we have more room for improvement.

What is your idea, i can buy it another supplier for 8500 usd.
Can you help me about idealscope heart and arrow comments?
How picky are you? IMO, the heart at 12:00 is smaller than the other 7 hearts, plus I'd prefer a total depth at < 62%

I don't like this stone. There will be hardly any scintillation other than bold arrows flashes.
I highly recommend you select one of the Whiteflash stones @rockysalamander mentioned.

I don’t like this one because it’s a VS2 with almost all of the grade-setting inclusions under the table - also, the main inclusion type is clouds ... really not sure if this will be eye-clean ... can you get them to check it for you? Also, a steeper 35 crown angle goes better with a lower pavilion angle of 40.6 ... it may still have good light performance in real life ... but this one appears to have some light leakage under the table based not the idealscope image. The hearts image is pretty good ... not perfect but pretty good, as is the arrows image, so the symmetry appears good. Still, it has light leakage and may not be eye-clean. Lastly, you’d be paying for True Hearts but not getting a premium diamond.
