How about one of Caysie’s bands like the Sophia but with no diamonds. I like the engraving on her Sophia bands a lot.
Now that I think about it I probably would spend more on a band if it was something I knew I would wear all the time. Or it was my wedding band.
But I have way too many bands and I know it would not get as much use as it should.
I think I have something like 30 stackers/wedding bands (I have 10 Tiffany ones) and although I’ve just recently sold a few, I’m also planning on purchasing more. I’m waiting for one in the mail as we speak.

I love Caysie’s bands, but they’re way more than I want to spend. I’m really bad about spending money on something, then not wearing it and selling it. If I don’t spend too much, then I won’t feel guilty (and my bank account won’t be so sad) if I don’t wear it. The only bands I’ve really loved are my tri-wire and bezeled eternity that I switch out daily. I don’t really want a statement band... just a thin one to add a little YG color. I hope that makes sense. :oops2: At this point, I’m even considering ordering a plain domed band from Amazon... because, well... free Prime shipping and returns.:halo:

As far as wear. I got the Tiffany rose gold and platinum 2 mm band last year and I haven’t taken it off and it is in pretty bad shape (for me bc I’m pretty anal about my stuff). It’s got a bunch of scratches and feels rough. When I rub my fingernail across it I can feel deeper scratches and pits.
I think with an engraved band it won’t be as noticeable.

Also can you order one of the Etsy rings and do they have a return policy if you are unhappy.
Lastly. Have you thought about just emailing David the exact Schubach band you want and just asking him if he can make the same design.
His bench is pretty good. For all we know Teo might be working for him now?! ;-)

I might email David... I just know me and my crazy when it comes to being satisfied. I’d feel so bad if I didn’t like it after it was made - and I plan to have David make other things in the future, so I worry about burning bridges, so to speak. It would be awesome if Teo was with David, but the lady from Schubach said he’d retired. :(

From GildedTimes on Etsy, this one is probably too thick but I really like it so will post it anyway..
I love this because it’s hearts and it’s nice and narrow.
From MSJewelers, the EH collection which I’m pretty sure some PSers have, this one is a pretty pattern with nice definition. They have some other patterns which are lovely but aren’t as crisp as I’d want in a new ring

I really like the style of the first band - I wish it were thinner... I’m going to bookmark it. I may ask David to give me a quote to make it in a 1.8-2.0 mm size - I feel like it would also look good if it was more domed in the middle... Good stuff, @foxinsox!! Thank you!!

Gypsy (now LaylaR) posted this one on loupe troop for $299... it's not the same engraving as the ones you are drawn to here but still beautiful, delicate but well made, and in a great price point!

This is really pretty, but would be way too big for me at 4.75. Gorgeous milgrain work!

I understand. I feel the same way. I wear my stackers only when I’m not wearing my e-setting or other type of solitaire. So maybe that’s less than 25% of the time.
Like I purchased two rose gold Tiffany bands and a Blue Nile 2 mm rose gold band. I did that when I had my Dahlia rose gold setting, to wear on either side of it. I didn’t ever wear more than one at a time and I just sold one for less than what I paid.
By the way I asked for quote from Schubach’s for a new setting and I also inquired about the Teo band in platinum and they quoted me $1550.
I also just asked David about adding engraving to my BN 2mm band. I sent him the picture of the Teo band and asked if he could replicate. I’ll let you know what he says. I’m currently talking to him about a new setting so he’s been very responsive.

Yes! I emailed him last Wed and he’s already on his 2nd set of CADs for me. So he’s been super responsive. I figure I may as well ask since he’s already making me something.

Would you consider something like one of DK’s twist bands? It might alleviate any concern about engraving wearing unevenly. (I may or may not be eyeing one myself....)

I just had DK make a 2.5 mm engraved plat band for me. It was also added on to a project that they were doing for me, so maybe that's why, but I was so shocked at how little they charged. They perfectly copied the engraving I wanted. I'm very happy with it, very comfortable, and it actually sparkles in the light.
(Top band is DK too)

I understand... I want ALL THE THINGS!! ...which is why I must stick with a solitaire - for my sanity and my bank account.

FWIW, I LOVE your current cushion halo in mixed metal, but I'm very excited to see what you do next!! I shall live vicariously through you , @kayla17!! ;-)

Hey @Tonks! I have considered the twist bands, as well as the beaded ones and a few others. However, I had a twist band in RG from another Etsy seller, and I literally never wore it. I ended up giving it to my sister. I love them on others, but not on me, for whatever reason. I think my hands are just ugly, so no rings look nearly as elegant - HA! Thanks for the suggestion though!!

This is really beautiful, @CHRISTY-DANIELLE! I considered the organic band as well, but I believe I just need a straight band due to not having the real estate for the width the negative space adds. Your engraved band is gorgeous too - perfect milgrain as well!! I can see why you're very happy with David's work on it!

So after many many hours of looking online, PS, IG, Etsy, and all the other places I could think of... I have decided to go with a plain, high polish, all round 14K YG band. Thanks to everyone who has helped and made suggestions -- I truly appreciate all of them! Shout out to @diamondseeker2006 for listening to all my ridiculous back-and-forth regarding all things "YG band" - she was super helpful, as always! I couldn't decide on 1.6 or 1.8 mm, but I ended up ordering both for comparison with the intent of returning one. This seller does charge a 20% restocking fee, but her prices are so reasonable, it's just not an issue to pay a little extra for my peace of mind to be able to directly compare both sizes at the same time. :)

Here are the bands I ordered (in 1.6 and 1.8 mm sizes). They are full round, so perfectly circular dimensions. However, since they are very curved, I'm thinking they'll appear a bit slimmer than a flat ring with the same width. I'm excited - here's to hoping I love one of them!

I was thinking about this option for you @msop4 - a rich 18-22k thin band would be gorgeous

I considered 18K, but it just looks so brassy on me... so I chose 14K, since everything I have is that tone. :)

I’ve been thinking about 22k in a thin band for myself.. but can’t work out if it would look good with my skin tone or not. I’ve got vintage 14k YG on everything YG apart from the toi et moi moissy which is 18k but doesn’t seem that yellow! I’d really like that deep rich yellow colour. Might have to take a punt and try one out

Have you tried debblazer on Etsy?

She's on my "favorites" for vendors. I almost went with her for a knife edge band before I decided on my tri-wire. She's very reasonable! We'll just see how the all round band works out... *fingers crossed*

@nala I didn’t want to threadjack this thread so I started my own for my reset. Come join the fun! https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/help-needed-for-david-klass-reset.245361/
But in a nutshell I love the setting DK made for me. I just feel with the halo the diamond looks too big. I measured it to be about 10.5 mm with the halo.
But it is a beautifully made setting. There is absolutely nothing I would change about it.
Then I saw the setting that I am having made and I fell in love with it. It’s completely different from other settings I’ve seen. Plus I have solitaire settings. So I’m not worried about missing a solitaire.

I used Deb for a few custom projects a couple years ago, and I think she's great. Very affordable prices! She set a diamond from GOG into a solitaire pendant for me, and did a custom ruby ring for me too.
