The President, who just this week spoke of decorum, called incoming House Intelligence Chair Adam Schiff “Little Adam Schitt” on Twitter. :angryfire:

How lovely to see Melania’s “Be Best” campaign is having an impact on her family members.

Adam Schiff responded on Twitter: “WOW, Mr President, that’s a good one. Was that like your answers to Mr. Mueller’s questions, or did you write this one yourself?”

Wait, you're not disparaging the lovely and misunderstood Melania are you? She's the most bullied person in the world! https://www.cnn.com/2018/10/11/politics/melania-trump-be-best-initiative-bullying/index.html The poor dear.

Nice comeback from Mr Schiff - I hadn't heard that!

LOL @Maria D . Any amount of sympathy I had for Melania went out the window the day she wore that jacket to visit children who were separated from their parents. She is just as bad a Trump.

And Elijah Cummings set a good example of decorum.

"Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) on Monday denounced President Trump for referring to Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) as "Adam Schitt."

'I would say to the president directly: Mr. President, please do not do that,' Cummings said on MSNBC's 'Andrea Mitchell Reports.' 'That is beneath you and it is beneath this office.'

Cummings defended Schiff as 'one of the most brilliant members of our Congress' and a 'phenomenal human being.' He said there is 'no need' to call anybody names.

Trump attacked Schiff as 'little Adam Schitt' in a tweet on Sunday after the congressman suggested the appointment of Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker was unconstitutional."

America, or rather the United States, is not just a piece of land, ready to be bought by the highest bidders. It is not just a country but it is an aspiration and a constant working towards freedom of speech, and democratic principles. We have inspired other countries to move towards democracies. Not because we are the richest or the most powerful country, because we live in a country where people can speak out against leaders and tyrants and we have free press and freedom of expression. Trump's view, that it is OK for the leader of a country to personally retaliate to press criticism by literally torturing and killing a member of a press, a member of the press who incidently who also was a US resident, simply because of an investment (aka gift or bribe) of 450 billion, is repugnant and against everything the US stands for. How can you be US first, if you place our values last?

Trump’s reaction was pretty much expected. Is anyone really surprised by anything he does anymore? Disgusted...yes, but surprised, no.

All the gains this year in the stock market are gone. I wonder how long it will be before Trump blames Obama and Hillary for this.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing...esident-donald-j-trump-standing-saudi-arabia/

I will summarize
- “ The US president is just fine with premeditated murder as long as the murderers are giving him enough money and it serves his benefit. Who is to say what truth or right and wrong are. Killing of people that a leader doesn’t like is ok as long as they don’t personally do it, and hey even if they do, we don’t care cause we want the oil. Really if you think about it hitlers biggest error was that they were not throwing enough business America’s way. Why should the USA have to have any moral stand on anything. People are gonna do what they are gonna do, just remember as long as I get mine nothing else matters.”
——————————————————
:cry2:

Moral repugnance on every level. Congrats GOP senators and congressmen ,with trump there will never be a rock bottom for you in this bottomless pit, but don’t worry if this is “bad” if you keep going he surely will take the country to a new low sooner or later.

No one who has not lived through this administration will ever believe it was as bizarre as it really has been. They will think if a man did things as far beyond the pale as those that Trump does regularly even once that he would have to have been removed from office. He has the savoir faire of a cave dweller. He appears never to have been introduced to polite company or to have grasped the basics of normal social behavior, let alone understood the civics that a ninth grader would need to know to pass a class at grade level.

I join those who think that anyone who votes for Trump in 2020 is harming the United States and that it is everyone's civic duty to vote against him or to abstain from voting.

Trump is a weak president. He can't stand up to Saudi Arabia prince even though there is an audiotape of the killing and clear evidence it was a hit. This prince was counting on the fact that Trump wouldn't do anything because he knows he is somehow indebted to them. Trump is a compromised president. This is just more evidence of it.

Thankfully we have an ignore function. But sadly quite a few will support trump, they will say it is ok because the economy is good and 2 wrongs make a right and since Clintons did worse on everything under the sun, then it is ok to think it is fine to murder journalists as long as they get low oil prices because "America First".

Thank you for your response, tkyasx78. That is very sad to hear, indeed.

I do not believe I heard that exactly here. ;))

The problem is that we re-elect Trump the reality will be that we will be giving the government the nod to think it is fine to murder journalists as long as Trump personally and/or the US in general can do business with Saudi Arabia.

When Obama arrived in Saudi Arabia they greeted him with a few janitors from the palace. Where was the King?..

Did anyone know that Trump didn't even know the name of the town destroyed by fire in California and was calling it "Pleasure" instead of "Paradise"? This on top of creating a fantasy about a conversation with the president of Finland in which he was told that raking the beds of forests was what prevented forest fires in Arctic, wet Finland. How can we have let this happen here?

That should scare you to death if you believe it, Dancing Fire. Think what it would say about this country if it were true.
Nothing would scare more than the radical left.
