I love this photo because I love the combinations and the contrast between the three different metals and I think it shows the different looks different metals can give.

First is my 2.03ctw asscher band with Tiffany Legacy band - both platinum

Second is my ruby and diamond ring (2 x .42 J VS diamonds with 1.45ctw of rubies), setting made in 1910, with band from e-weddingbands.com

Lastly is my 7 stone Tiffany bar-set ring (1.05ctw) with my wedding ring, custom made, both in 18kt yellow.

I no longer have the Tiffany yellow gold and diamond ring, but the rest are still part of my collection and will always be. I loved the Tiffany band, but the run of diamonds didn't reach the full distance across my finger, and I was unable to sell it. So it was melted down and I still have the diamonds.

I am very sure that the ladies are familiar with much larger diamonds but I keep looking at this oval halo ring that my husband gave me recently. I created a thread to create this ring and I am so glad that I followed everyone's suggestions in the thread

0.58 carat oval diamond in James Allen halo setting - worn with Tiffany Harmony wedding band.

ETA I just read your thread on this stone. You've clearly got a good eye! Lovely stone and beautifully set - a very solid choice and a definite keeper.

Yes I got the stone and setting from a place called polished diamonds, they do custom engagement rings in Christchurch. They have a extremely good reputation and lifetime warrantee. The stone was tricky as I was looking for GIA but I liked that stone the best when compared to all the ones I saw, but was graded by Gemscan as it is Canadian Mark diamond, it was brought in from Canada for another customer(he normally only sells GIA, but the couple wanted a Canadian diamond) but when it came in the lady had decided to get a 2 carat instead, so he was selling it at a great price. I actually had it graded again in NZ, at the only place using the sarine tech, for cut grade, and it scored the exact same as the Gemscan, so I felt comfortable getting it. I actually compared it to several other stones from GIA and various other stores in my price range and I felt it was the most beautiful.

Yes defiantly engagement ring but I designed it I am quite particular so said to SO I wanted to get it made, thank god he listened. When he proposed he stole one of my rings and had it in a box and I was thinking OH GOD what’s he done, thank god he had listened though, and like any good man he then said I could get whatever I wanted

Today I’m wearing my OEC three stone and single cut diamond ring and a Traub orange blossom band with single cut diamonds. Both set in platinum. Both rings are from the 1930’s. I love how low set the three diamond ring is. The wedding band was engraved with the date 7-2-1932. I had it resized and they removed the date except for the 32.

OMG. It finally happened! After 11 months of owning this ring I FINALLY snapped a pic with black arrows. I don’t even know what I did to make it happen, lol! The arrows are always silver for some reason.
