Beautiful spider picture, Bluegemz, the color is amazing :) Spiders aren't my favorite creatures, but they provide good natural pest control and deserve to live their lives in peace.

They aren’t mine either, but I’m open to seeing beauty in things. The web idea, as related to interpretation of our lives, realities being self created in part, really captured me...and then the opal seemed to fit that inspiration so well!
When I think of black opals, I get a feeling of seeing light in darkness, having eyes to see in shadows, and this is so enchanting!

So I’ve been wearing lavender jade again lately, with emeralds. I know it sounds like a strange combination, but they actually look really nice, purple and green. What’s more, the feeling of these stones together is wonderful. The emeralds feel like love energy, while the lavender feels more like divine energy. Here is my temporary lavender jade pendant and ring ‘set’, but I need to eventually reset the ring cab to go with the pendant. It’s strange but, these both are some of the least austentatious/artistic pieces which I own, but I wear them so often because of office life. In that setting, they are just right. The lavender jade for me is very calming, yet I feel somehow ‘protected’ while wearing it. I am reminded of a bigger picture rather than the day to day, and the emeralds remind me of where my heart is. I would love to get a more blue lavender pair of earrings to better match, but that’s for sometime in the future.

Beautiful!

I am into emeralds currently also (: and am even using one for my engagement ring.
From someone who doesnt own any lavender jade it just looks lovingly calming.
I could imagine one feeling peaceful while wearing both of those gems.

Would you mind posting some photos of your emerald pieces too?

So happy you have your own thread!
You have a beautiful, beautiful collection (:

Thank you so much @Garnetgirl ! I’m happy to show my emerald collection. I’ve accumulated these over many years, sort of by accident, and there is no cohesive style to these, as I love emeralds in many metals and styles, high quality and not high quality. Some of these are reposts because I’m not at home...

First, the diamond emerald ring. I got this about 8 years ago, maybe longer...when at an annual party with my jeweler, after we all had had a few glasses of champagne, she made us an offer Which we couldn’t refuse!
:dance::whistle:

Pics just don’t capture it, no matter how hard I try. Its got 2 broken prongs which I need to fix but am a little scared to send it off. It’s ok for now but eventually, I’ll get up the nerve.

Then there is this mid century diamond and emerald bracelet in platinum, which my husband was inspired to buy. These are lighter and bluish green. It’s like a peppermint twist bracelet. I really love some of the mid century styles as they had a playful joy and confidence.

This is my most worn emerald piece...probably my most loved emerald by far. It’s very humble but beautiful in its natural state. a raw crystal in a gold floral gold cage. I wear this with the purple jade a lot, including today!

These simple beads...an antique Indian necklace with highly included emeralds, rubies and pearls. This just makes me happy to wear.
And, some Indian emerald beads that I got in my 20’s which I hardly ever wear.

I also got this emerald pendant which I thought I might reset with diamonds around it, but I’ve decided to give it to my niece who LOVES jewelry, and it’s her birthstone. She’s just a little too young.

I would love to see your emerald engagement ring!

https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/engagement-emerald-stone-thoughts-please.243809/

Here's the thread that I started recently about the chosen emerald (:
Its been calling to me for over a year and I'm just in love. I love some blue in my emeralds personally!
Its at GIA right now and if it comes out as described by the lapidary with zero treatment/oiling then it will be mine and then I will have it bezel set with decorative claws in 18k yellow gold.
Its truly a dream project and is so symbolic for me and us; our relationship.
Its been a joy so far which I'm thankful for as sadly some people have little bumps or hiccups in the stone ordering/scouring and ring designing process so I'm very thankful.

& Oh boy! That ring- that necklace- That pendant oh my!
I love that second emerald ring. How special to have one in its true raw form.
Not too many appreciate the beauty of an untouched gem either but theres something to be said of the energy of raw stones!

& youre so sweet to give your niece that beautiful pendant! The shape and color are just lovely.
Champagne and emeralds.....mmmm! I doubt any one of us could have refused that offer!
Also I remember that necklace! Somehow pearls and emeralds go so fabulously well together!!

Emeralds to me are exuberant and hold a very very loving energy which is neither cold nor warm but its very own. It represents patience and compassion to me. A gentle patient energy that opens and holds spaces for others to give love.

Oh gosh, that stone is absolutely beautiful!! Completely agree with you about the energy of emeralds, and gave me something’s to think about, such as holding the space.. and you described it so well! That is such a wonderful way of experiencing them!..and I can see why you’d want one for such a symbolic ring! Really looking forward to your project. Sometimes things are relatively easy when they are meant to be! I’m kind of resistant to getting pieces when it’s too hard because I love the ease when things come together in a more natural way, though it is becoming harder and harder with colored stones. I get the feeling that there just aren’t enough in the world for everyone to have what they hope to have.

I also love the blue in emeralds. Though the first ring is the most blue, the second is lighter, more of a Spring green ....but you nailed it, it’s the natural crystal that I love. Also, I am less worried about it when I wear it because a few abrasions would hardly show since it’s already got some from the ground from which it came. So, I feel a little more free with it.

Thank you for the kind words and compliments!!

I love your lavender jade.

I see a beaded jadeite necklace hidden in the right hand corner. Lovely.

That purple cab ring looks awesome on you! I know you desire a better setting but I really like the one that it's in! Please put it to good use after you take the stone out!

Thank you! That is a blue jade bead necklace which I purchased some time ago to go with a specific blue/lavender bangle. They both look as if they are a blueberry shade. I restrung it with the matching thread because the white seemed jarring.

Thank you for the kind words! I will reuse it, but not sure with what yet. I imagine some kind of unusual cab either maybe carved or patterned or chatoyant.

Oh, please take a picture of it. I have a blue lavender one but it has yet to be restrung.

I would love to see your beads! I love jade beads and would love to collect more strands of them at some point.

Here it is with the bangle which I bought it to match. The bangle was one of my first bangle purchases, so I’ve had it for a while now. It is fine grain and moist, with a dense, misty, diffused semi translucence which looks more like a luminous quality. It feels like super compressed jade by comparison with some other bangles which I have, which have a more sugary, larger grain texture. With the necklace, I’m still not sure about the gold beads, even after having restrung it myself twice, but they do give it a pop when wearing and makes it so I can tie in gold jewelry, so I often wear gold earrings and rings with this, along with my lighter star sapphire which goes well with this color.

Nice color! I got a couple of transluscent lavender strands straight from a Burmese jade factory but have yet to see them! Not so many nice lavenders coming out of mines lately and not so much bangles.

Thank you! I believe it.... Oh please show them when you get them? Translucent lavender beads...just that description sounds amazing!

A note on stringing, my knots are a little bulky because I used double strands of an elasticized material which will NOT stretch out! If one pulls it, it stretches but then returns to original tension. Silk drives my crazy because of stretching knots and threads.

This is my lavender necklace. Some have light green streaks running through.

You can see the threading has not been done yet. I will use purple thread. I never thought of that. These are between 12 to 15 mm.

It is night time now. I will take a picture in daylight tomorrow, against a white background. So you can see better the colours. I am not sure what colour they are. Sometimes, they seem lighter than this. Sometimes, they seem darker. Lavender jade is weird like that. I don't know how to put it. Most times, they are lavender. Here, they look pink. I don't know why.

Those are so luminous and fresh, and what a great size! Would look great with a light pink/lavender thread.
