Here is my first pair of non-mall store studs--finally got something from Whiteflash! Their customer service is great. Received the studs (.6 ctw, both Hs, VS1 and VS2) today and am in love. :kiss2: Going through this thread and seeing the various sizes helped me make a decision, so I figured I'd contribute. I worried these would be too small since each one is only .3 carats but, for now, I think they work.
Edited to add that the setting is the three-prong martini setting from Whiteflash. I've never had anything but baskets before so I'm excited to see if I like this setting more after wearing them for a few days.

*** FORGIVE for the dirty earrings!!!***

Back on page 7 is a better close up shot of my .82 ctw. . .

Here's those again with a smaller pair. The larger are WF ACA F SIs .82 ctw (set in WG) and the other pair, I'm not sure about the specs except they're .50 ctw (set in platinum).

Yes it's an old post but...VERY helpful comparison! Your larger stones are about 1 mm larger than well cut stones in your smaller size.

Gosh they look beautiful on you. As my previous post, this is the size I am looking for as far as tcw for studs. Glad you are happy with your purchase. Did you get someone to help you select the pair? and if you did how did you go about it? chat or phone? Just curious about the process, because the selection seems overwhelming at times.

@portia33, thank you! I used whiteflash's diamond pair search. When I first searched, I knew I wanted ACAs, H or above, and VS2 or above. Once I put that information in and set it to my max budget, it narrowed them to a more manageable list. After that, I just looked for stones that were very close together in size. Posted the pair I was thinking about in Rockytalk and got some great feedback. People told me I could go down to J to get bigger and still be pleased with their color. After seeing these Hs, I totally believe it but found I like this size for now.

I also chatted and exchanged emails (maybe a telephone call) with Becca. She sent me photos of an H up against an I and a J, and confirmed that the pair were well matched. If you're finding it too difficult to look through the paired matches online, I would consider giving whiteflash a call or using the live chat. The company seemed great to work with. And good luck with the search---hope to see a pic in the thread in the future!

These look GREAT on your ear. Do you have a side view that shows the setting? What is the diameter of the small stud you are wearing compared to the main stud?

Hi all,
I finally got around to getting a matching stone to make up my studs from a reputable jeweller. 2175303D-1B23-4FFA-B77C-CCF3A20EFB06.jpeg Specs are tcw 1.16ct Hsi2 and Gsi2 GIA certified

Lovely! Any ear shots?

I finally get to post here, I got just over 08ctw G SI1 from Whiteflash. I set them in a 4 prong basket setting. I couldn't be more delighted with them, they sparkle loads, and are plenty big enough for me, for now!! I'm still trying to decide on sleep with them in or not?? I've had them in the last few nights, and they can hurt a bit when I wake up, I sleep on my side! But I haven't worn earrings for about a year. It used never bother be before now. Any Thoughts??

SO beautiful @DiamondBaby! Congrats, they look great on you!

I don't sleep with my earrings in, I can feel it as I also sleep on my side.

Here are my diamond studs set in yellow gold. They had been my mom’s, so I don’t have any specs on them. They measure 5 mm, so they’re approximately 1 ctw...a nice size for my tiny earlobes!

These are my 3.04 ctw studs next to my 2.03 ctw center diamond engagement ring. The next one is one of the studs in my ear. I have lots of room on my lobe so I think it appears smaller.
They are VVS2 G color ideal cut.

I think that’s what amazes me most about this whole thread. I’ll see photos with 1ctw diamonds and think they look perfect, and then other photos with 2ctw and think they still have room for more. It’s like taking my e-ring off of my size 6.5 finger and putting it on my size 4 pinky... DSS cured!

Maybe there’s a lobe-ectomy surgery to make our lobes smaller?

You can see better here that I have plenty of space! I definitely need a lobe-ectomy!

They’re very pretty! I would take them out at night to keep them clean. Keep a dish next to your bed and put them there. After your shower pop them back on. I take mine off before bed and in the morning I either sit them in cleaner in the kitchen before my shower or just pop them in and out of the cleaner and rinse with hot water and dry with a paper towel. It keeps them sparkly.. Just be careful not to drop them down the drain! I put the stopper down!
