Well, the scale of the sale won . I don't think I mentioned it here but I decided to return the blossom portfolio I'd ordered because it was too small for my needs, which means that I currently have no travel cases. SO, I just ordered three . One is for a 1-2 day trips (Marrakesh travel, of which I would have rather had black but they were out of stock), one is for 1-week trips (Caroline portfolio), and one is for week+ trips (blossom medium case). We travel quite often and for various lengths of time, so I can mentally justify getting all of them

@ILikeShiny oh really good choices! I’ve thought about getting that Caroline portfolio. What I love though is the Caroline small jewelry box and the Sophia zippered travel case. Thetravel case looks so nice in all three colors. I usually like gold hardware but this one has silver which is refreshing against the colors. The problem is it has a round thing for charms inside and not a whole lot of practical space I think for what I own. Like will my oval bangles fit around the Center circle thingy? Lol. But I really like how the case looks smooth and chic. I’m kinda trying to wait last minute and maybe I won’t get it. Or maybe I will. Haha

I almost got the Caroline small too. It’s a great design. If the blossom portfolio had been in stock I would have (re)bought that and then the Caroline small; since it wasn’t available, I did the Caroline portfolio and the blossom box (that medium was almost the same size as the Caroline small... weird how the different lines have different measurements and not just different exterior/interior designs).

Depends on where we are going.

When in Alaska, I will wear what I normally wear at home, 2 tennis bracelets, a RHR, ering/eternity, FIY diamond pendent, and a watch.

When I was in Norway last year, I left the larger bracelet home, wore my smaller FIY bracelet and wore my small Tiffany yellow as a RHR. I have heard that Norwegians are not into big bling.

When we go to Antarctica in December I will probably leave both bracelets home because of the need for gloves during polar landings, may not wear a RHR, any maybe just my solitaire CBI and eternity band.

I worry about losing things, so like other PSers, I just take what I can wear when we travel.

Totally unrelated to jewelry, but your traveling sounds fascinating! Antartica!!! That's not one you hear everyday! How cool!

Exciting!! I hope you’re happy with your case too!

Here are photos of mine in Italy! As you can see, it held everything I needed and had room to spare. Our entire room is beige with beige accents, so the case looks slightly tinged; it’s really a crisp bright white (I tried to fix it on my phone but it could only do so much!)



Hand included so you could see approximate size of the box.


Interior is well designed. Under the flowered flap is a long compartment; it’s where I put most of my earrings. I used a ring roll to hold the necklace chain for my one pendant/necklace (bottom left).


Two large spaces under the tray. I stored 4-5 everyday/casual necklaces in individual plastic bags and placed them in the left side and on the right side I have our wedding bands, my pearl earrings (black box), and my pearl necklace.


I love that all of the flowers on this box are cut out by hand . And I admire the craftsmanship and usefulness of this box so much that I’ll probably keep it on my dressing table after this trip and fill it with my “most used” pieces from my jewelry armoire.

@Loreal I love your travel case. Very smart and compact.

I just take the bling I am not wearing there separately in their little boxes. So I am always wearing Bea and a band and then earrings. And if I want other rings or other earrings or a necklace or bracelet etc I will take their individual jewelry boxes. I rarely travel with more than I am wearing at the time however. But when I do these go in my pocketbook. Easy peasy.

I have a few of these boxes in which I put earrings/rings for travel as the box is super small and easy to bring in my pocketbook.



And for home I have this jewelry box my dh made for me that I keep Bea with all her bands when I am not wearing them. It's made of solid mahogany and it is really lovely. It was his first woodworking project when he taught himself woodworking many years ago now.

Happy Friday!!! Just curious if anyone travels with the amount of jewelry I travel with. I always bring one watch, diamond studs, my diamond cross necklace, my 3 VCA sweet bracelets (in VCA pouch) and diamond rings. I absolutely love the gray (one of my favorite colors), leather mini jewelry case I bought from Pottery barn (Mckenna). Look forward to seeing what everyone posts.
