If I may interrupt with a share. These 2 kittens are a year old. They were adopted about 8 months ago and the owner became very allergic and had to surrender them yesterday. They are super sweet bonded brothers. Loren and Lexi. Russian Blue and Bombay according to the rescue group. What I can say is while I don’t know their “pedigree” I know they are affectionate, sweet and loving and deserve a loving furever home. It’s heartbreaking their owner had to leave them and they are no longer babies so it will be more challenging finding them a good home together. Please pass on the word. You have my word they are wonderful and precious and sweet and loving. Located in Brooklyn but willing to travel for the right home.

We visited Loren and Lexi yesterday. These 2 brothers are just the sweetest kitties. Last pics of them just in case anyone knows of anyone who has room in their hearts and home for 2 more amazing Furbabies. They roll on their backs so you can give them tummy rubs. Amazing trust really given that they have had challenging beginnings and that the only home and momma they ever knew abandoned them. And still they are loving and sweet and trusting. Truly wonderful cats in every way.

I am excited to meet a girl from Louisiana next weekend. So happy I was able to match her with a foster there and a rescue here in WA plus my favorite transporter is heading this way.

She'll be leaving Louisiana on Wednesday and here to me next Saturday.

Happy 4th Birthday Atticus!
He played with his new toys but wouldn't pose for a decent picture until a flickering ceiling light caught his attention. Then he got to review and approve the design for the master bath remodel, stole the designer's car keys and hid them in one of the litter robots. Took us 30 minutes to find the keys. Butthead.

I thought of you yesterday Matata--I was out and about window shopping and lo and behold was a young girl taking her cat for a walk on a least....a Savannah. Everyone stopped to have a chat and pet--the cat wanted to take off!

@chrono - I am in love! What a sweetheart! This sure brings back memories. Unfortunately my sister became allergic so we couldn’t keep ours. Of course I wanted to get rid of my sister and keep the cats but my mother wouldn’t agree to that.

Thank you Junie! He really is a doll. And given all that he has been through before we rescued him well thst makes him all the more amazing. Zoe and Tommy would make a good match together...what do you think? That way we will be family for real.

Haha yes that too. Though most specifically HRH Francesca who likes to eat plastic. Yup you read that right. It’s a constant battle with her with leaving the avocados out in their bag and she wants to chomp chomp chomp. And the banana bag. Anything plastic left out she is like a plastic seeking missile. One broken tooth later poor kitty (though my sister says she didn’t break her tooth from that I’m sure it was something she got into that she shouldn’t have). I am vigilant and don’t leave anything plastic laying about. Cats may have 9l lives but man they sure tempt fate and those 9 lives can go by so quickly.

We decided to get new furniture for the new house, and not allow the dogs up on the new stuff. Given they’ve been spoiled and allowed on furniture in the past, I knew this would be a hard change for them to accept, and that I had to come up with a good alternative. I hate ‘regular’ dog beds because they’re a PITA to wash/clean and look uncomfortable, so we decided to get them a real ‘dog bed’ - a twin size mattress (was in my DD’s room pre-move) on a simple platform bed courtesy of Wayfair for just over a hundred bucks. I have a mattress protector and sheet under an old blanket, and I can just toss them both in the washer & dryer easy peasy. I may try to find a cute ‘doggy-style’ blanket, but wanted to be sure they’d actually use the bed before I spend any more money.

Judging by Donut’s reaction, I think she LOVES it!

Fred and Bobby hanging out this foggy rainy morning on the window seat Greg built for them. Awwww they are super sweet. Well,Fred is. Bobby is psycho kitty and I enjoy the moments where he remains calm and quiet. Long may they last.
