On Saturday May 2, the world watched when royal couple William and Catherine emerged from London's St. Mary's hospital with their new baby girl, Princess Charlotte. And now people all over the world are sending gifts to the newborn, who is fourth in line to the British throne. The Natural Sapphire Company plans to join in the royal gifting with a baby rattle valued at $45,000.

The world watched when Prince William wed Catherine Middleton in the most stunning televised nuptial event since the late Princess Diana's wedding in 1981. And earlier today the world waited for the royal baby's birth, as it was announced that Duchess Catherine was in labor at St. Mary's Hospital in London. At 4:24 p.m. today Catherine and William welcomed their first child, a boy, who is third in line to the British throne.

Royal Asscher Debuts "Fancy Royals" Collection for King Willem-Alexander's Coronation

Royal Asscher has debuted a special jewelry collection to commemorate King Willem-Alexander's coronation, which was held Tuesday April 30, 2013. The new collection named "Fancy Royals" showcases orange diamonds and sapphires in honor of the Dutch royal family, the House of Orange. The unique collection is comprised of three ring styles with crown motifs detailed in pavé diamonds. The rings are available in 18k gold or silver--with orange and white diamonds set in 18k gold and orange sapphires and white diamonds set in silver.

76-Carat Archduke Joseph Diamond Fetches $21.5 Million

On November 13, the legendary Archduke Joseph Diamond sold for a record $21.5 million at Christie's Geneva Magnificent Jewels action. The 76-carat diamond was the property of the Archduke Joseph August of Austria, Palatine of Hungary (1872-1962). The D-color and internally-flawless clarity diamond was named after the Archduke, who was the great-grandson of Emperor Leopold II and King Louis Philippe of France through his father and mother respectively.

Royal Jewels to Lead Sotheby's Magnificent Jewels Sale

Sotheby's Geneva will present a selection of jewels with royal and noble provenance at its November 14, 2012 Magnificent Jewels sale. Highlights include a rare conch pearl, enamel, and diamond bracelet formerly owned by Queen Victoria Eugenia of Spain (1887-1969). Cartier created the bracelet in the late 1920s in the "tutti frutti" style of the period, though the use of conch pearls was unusual for the time. The bracelet is expected to fetch between $800,000 and $1.4 million.

Christie's to Auction 76.02-Carat Archduke Joseph Diamond

"A Diamond Fit for a Queen" - Christie's has announced the auction of the legendary Archduke Joseph Diamond. The 76.02-carat diamond of D color and internally flawless clarity will be offered at Christie's Geneva on November 13, 2012. The historic stone is expected to fetch well over $15 million.

Cullinan Diamonds to Go on Display for The Queen's Diamond Jubilee

Seven of the nine principal stones cut from the 3,106-carat Cullinan diamond will go on display at the upcoming "Diamonds: A Jubilee Celebration" exhibition at Buckingham Palace this June. The show is part of The Queen's Diamond Jubilee, commemorating the monarch's sixty-year reign and will include an unprecedented selection of the most renowned royal jewels.

Royal Beau Sancy Diamond Sells for $9.7 Million

The Beau Sancy, a 34.98 carat double rose-cut diamond, sold for $9.7 million at Sotheby's Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels Sale in Geneva on May 15. The top lot was bought by an anonymous buyer after an eight minute bidding war, selling for almost five times the low pre-sale estimate of $2-4 million. The diamond has passed through four royal families of France, England, Prussia, and the House of Orange and was worn by Marie de Medici at her coronation as Queen Consort of Henri IV in 1610.
