A friend of mine referred a wholesaler to me on this stone but I am not educated enough to tell if this is worth the price... Can anyone give me some thoughts?

Weight: 1.35ct
Depth: 60%
Table: 65%
Girdle: Medium
Finish: Good/Good
Clarity: IF
Color: G
Fluorescence: None
Price: $9800

thank you...

What is the shape? A 65% table on a round is not a very good starting point, but on some other shapes may not be too bad.

It is Round cut, certified by GIA.

So not a good buy...?

Autumn,

The 65% table and 60% depth are far from the best cut.

Is it so important for you to have IF clarity?

You might want to get VS or even SI clarity with no visible inclusions but improve the cut, which should make a great difference.

The make on this stone is only fair. A 65 table will give the diamond a spreadier look; meaning that it will look a little bigger than it really is. But the IF clarity means that you are overpaying for clarity. IF in a G color is worth no more in an engagement ring than a VVS2. Don't over pay for clarity!!
