After viewing dozens of GIA certs. through Blue Nile, I am constantly frustrated that there is no consistent format. What I mean is that on some certs. there are the crown and pavillion angles, etc. and some certs. are totally blank there, with only the clarity diagram at the bottom.

I appreciate that AGS gives a detailed diagram, complete with all angles, for every diamond.

Any reason why GIA is not consistent?
Thanks.

GIA certs NEVER have crown and pavilion details.
You must request the information from the vendor.
GIA will be giving more info early next year

Cut Nut is correct, if you see crown angles, etc, the dealer added those comments.

Any full service dealer should be able to provide you with that information to complete the 2d grading information. Many can take you into 3d grading by using optical symmetry which is the most important part, and the labs will get there in the future.

GIA will post COMMENTS on crown angles if they fall outside of the norm.
