I have heard a number of cases or horror stories fr. customers who bought from certain stores where they have fake certificate. How do I make sure GIA certificate is real? |

The best way is to get an independent appraiser (not one suggested but the vendor) to verify that the diamond matches the certificate as part of an appraisal of it. |

mbn, I have seen people buy diamonds later to find the diamonds were clarity enhanced! These people were not told, no disclosure. Scarry! |

The "new" GIA report which started in the year 2000 does security features. You still need someone to verify that the diamond matches the report. ------------------ |

We check out the matching of diamonds to their certificates, and check to see if we agree with their grading results. In addition we also run a battery of additional measurements and testing to report the important characteristics that are missing from lab reports. rockdoc ------------------ |
