I'm thinking of purchasing a diamond that has a girdle that is very thin - thin (based on GIA cert). How concerned should I be about potential chipping? I know that thin Girdles are not recommended, but the rest of the stone is nice (1.19, VS2, F, table 57%, debth 60.9%). I'd be interested in any comments. Thanks. |

Jar how do you know the rest of the stone is nice? Have you read the tutorial on 60:60? If you are setting the stone in an exposed prong setting in a ring it is not on. but if it is going into a pendant or a rubbed over bezel then it is not a big deal. |
