a jeweler offered me a over 2c princess cut that's been clarity enhanced (fracture filled) for 6K. Would you recommend buying a fracture filled diamond? |

It is very personal. Obviously different products have their market and buyers. One of the reason people are fascinated by natural diamonds their unique natural properties. Once it's lost, what would be the difference between clarity enhanced diamond and any good diamond simulants?

If you need a certain size for a given effect and can't afford the price, yes, it can be worth doing. Up to you to decide how much you value it. Make sure you know who put int he filling and that they offer guaranteed re-treatment if the filling is damaged. Also, be sure to inform all jewelers who do work on the ring so they can take care with the application of heat. |
