Can you give me any opinions/advice on this Emerald I am considering. I found it on the net and am trying to stay in the $5000 or below price range yet with similar dimensions and L:W ratio to this stone. This will be the center stone in a 3-stone emerald, platinum ring.

Lab-GIA
Depth-62.5%
Table-70%
Measurements-7.52x5.44x3.40
Girdle-Extra Thin - Thick (xntk)

I am looking for any advice/input before I order the stone to make a visual inspection. Anything you can tell me would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Bigdog1434,

Extremely thin girdle brings the stone to the AGA class 4 and may be a problem.

As Oldminer (davis Atlas) wrote, the fancy cut difficult to assess by numbers only and should be seen by yourself or independent expert.

Get the stone sent to David Atlas or to John Vivian who is 70 miles from you in Lacey, WA (see www.pricescope.com/appr_list.asp )

I had to delete Moediamond posts as breached the message board rules and offering unsolicited services and merchandise.
