can anybody explain to me in english what indented natural means? if it is naer the girdle, could it effect the measurments (too thin, too thick?) what other effects does an indented natural have on a round brilliant stone? thank you!!! j |

Hi L0mp012 ”Natural” means rough surface that wasn't polished off the diamond. An indented natural is a portion of the natural surface that "breaks" inward from the diameter of the stone. To get rid of the indent a cutter should polish out more rough thus loose weight. As a result the diamond weight can drop from one range to another and the price could drop some 25%. E.g. from 1.01 to 0.96 carat. |

Generally features on the outside of a stone are considered more favourably than inside hence IF = internally flawless It is probably not an issue if you can not see it from above, most of these features occour near the girdle under the pavilion and can never be seen even with a loupe once the stone is set. |
