Should I stay away from an otherwise acceptable diamond if the girdle is listed on the GIA cert as "very thin to medium"?? What are the drawbacks of a very thin girdle, and am I better off just avoiding these all the time?? |

Hi, Here is the girdle page from the tutorial on pricescope: Extremely thin and very thin girdles are more prone to chipping during setting and general wear. I personally would avoid them-some may buy them and be very careful, but there are many great diamonds out there. I don't see a reason to cause yourself worry. lawmax |
