Privacy Policy

Pricescope Inc. ("the Company") maintains a strict privacy policy and uses state of the art technologies to safeguard personal information and communications from unauthorized intrusions. The Company recognizes that the growth of on-line services has created additional privacy concerns, particularly for internet users. On-line privacy concerns focus primarily on the protection of "user identifiable" information which an individual reasonably expects to be kept private. As the term suggests, "user identifiable" information is information that, when associated with an individual identifies that user, for example, a user's name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address. The Company has put in place the following Privacy Policy. This policy covers personal information collected using the Company's services available under the domain and subdomains of www.pricescope.com (the "Site") This policy was last updated on February 10, 2005.

Collection and Use

You may read most of the Site without giving the Company any personal information. Some pages of the Site, such as the discussion forums section, require you to register by submitting personal information using an online form. We may use this information to contact you from time -to-time. Unless required to by law, the Company does not share any of the personal information you submit to the Company without your consent.

If you use the Multi-Vendor Diamond Quotation System we will share, and you consent to the sharing of, the information that you submit, using the on-line form, with third-party vendors who might be interested in communicating a quotation by email to you. These third-party vendors may have different practices and policies than the Company with respect to their use of your personal information.

The Company receives anonymous usage data from the server that hosts the Site. This anonymous usage data includes, a record of the user's Internet Protocol address, the user's browser program used to access the Site, and the name of the user's internet service provider. It does not contain any personal information about the user.

When you submit your personal information using an online form you consent to the Company placing small files called a "cookies" on your computer. These files identify your browser and saves information such as passwords so that the Site can recognize you. You can set your browser to disable cookies, but some of the Site's pages may not work properly if you do this.

The Company uses its cookies for a number of purposes, including to:

The Company honours requests from users to review all personal information maintained in reasonably retrievable form, which currently consists of the information you provided to us on one of our on-line forms and will correct any such information which may be inaccurate. Customers may verify that appropriate corrections have been made.

Additional Privacy Protections for Children Using the Internet

The Company joins the industry in recognizing that children, including young teens, may not be able to make informed choices about personal information requested on-line. Accordingly, Company does not target children or teenagers (younger than eighteen years of age) for collection of information on-line. The Company does not solicit or collect customer identifiable information targeted at children and teenagers under eighteen and does not allow anyone else to do so on the Site.
