Davis: In checking price stats, a 3B cut runs $4923 per carat......or about 6200 for an F, VS2 stone of this size.
Go up to a 1A cut, and it moves to $5900 per carat, or about $7200 for an F, VS2 stone.
You're being quoted $2919????? That's less than half cost of the stone that's only average cut. That rings a serious alarm in my head.
It is an EGL cert, so that will tend to run less than GIA/AGS, but *not* more than half less.
I suspect this stone is poorly cut just based on the ridiculously low price, but do the homework and get the numbers. Make sure you get an ideal-scope image provided and a sarin if possible.
I think you'll find this stone is a pass.

Probably a typographical error somewhere regarding price or that there is something about the diamond that justified listing for the stated price. Best to confer with DCD about the diamond if you are serious about it; and then have it sent to an independent appraiser of yor choosing.

You have two possibilities: 1) it's a typo (and I hope so!) 2) it's actually an H/I 1-2 and was graded in Israel or Belgium. Anyway, you CANNOT get a properly graded F/SI 2 at $2400/ct. I'd be curious to hear what they say.
