Upgradable Ideal Rock Total Posts: 2,447 Last Post: 11/23/2009 Member Since: 8/15/2004	Does anyone have a suggestion to get high carat yellow gold ring mounting? I have a spessertite and a tourmaline that I'd like to set in yellow gold. I'm thinking something hammered for the spess but I don't want to spend an arm and leg.

Handmade gold mounts are pretty expensive right now, tho especially if done by a designer..... but if you get what you want, I feel it can be worth it. Why not go to your local jeweler and ask.....I consulted my jeweler and he recommended a designer out of state who worked with me ( thru my jeweler, of course ) for months on the design of a mount and in the end, I was very pleased. In addition, there are some wonderful sponsors here on Pricescope with numerous designers who could help you. Have you seen any online pics that match the ideas you have in mind?? Susi
