Question about matching a band to my Tiffany style--not Tiffany & Co...but same style! |

I just got my Fiancee a Tiffany Style Superbcerts H&A knock-out platinum ring. We both love it. The question is; 1) What type of wedding band would go with this ring? Would a plain platinum band mess with the "look" of the ring? 2) Has anyone matched this type of ring to a band? Examples?:O) 3) Could we just use the E-ring as "The Ring" and not get a band?

I went to Tiffany's a few weeks ago. They have some nice 7 and 9 stone wedding bands which looks great next to a solitaire. I am currently in the process of getting a 7 stone band from whiteflash made with 7 A Cut Above H&A Melees in a platinum setting. I think this is a timeless, classic look.

Definitely get a band...if you are just talking regular Tiffany Style solitaire..I love the way that looks with a plain platinum band (thin) to go with the e-ring. Or I really love when I see Tiffany Style solitaires paired with an eternity style wedding ring (thin) or one that has stones in the top of the band only (e.g. 5 or 7 stones but very small). The Tiffany style solitaires let you get really creative with your wedding ring....so you have alot more options IMO because the e-ring itself is so simple.

I purchased the Royal Crown setting and had a hard time finding a wedding band to match. I specifically wanted something with 7 stones(seven is my lucky number), and went to T&Co. one day to see their selection. Lo and behold, they had exactly what I wanted, a 7 diamond band in platinum all common prong set very low into the band, with better quality diamonds (G VS). I had originally planned to get the one carat band but when I tried it on next to my e-ring, it looked way too big. So I got the .56 ctw. band. I have to say that I truly love it. I am so happy that I decided to get it. I know that I could have saved money by getting it from an online vendor, and even entertained that thought at one point, but I am happy that I didn't. It matches me perfectly and now that I am having a custom setting made, I even had the person measure the specs on the wedding band to make sure that they fits perfectly together. Here is a picture.'By the way, I think a plain wedding band would look nice too. "I'm a Brat" - Mara (PS Queen) |

Nice, What a stunner that T&Co combo! Makes the back of my pants hurt just looking at it though! (My wallet pocket people...LOL) I thought that since the E-ring looks soo nice all by itself that the band might take away but in both cases it justs adds to the whole. Is there a wearing issue with the band and the E-ring....friction causing rubbing away of the metal? Battle the Obfuscation |

That's a really beautiful combination, Kayla. It's funny because I was just saying to my fiance yesterday that when we get married, I'll have to have a diamond band because without it my solitaire would look lonely. I showed him that exact same band from a Tiffany ad in a magazine (although I would prefer to buy the same style online in order to save some cash). I'm so happy that you posted that picture because I had been wondering what it looked like with a round solitaire. What carat weight is your solitaire diamond?

HI everyone, First off, thanks for the kind words. I truly love the way the two rings look together. Spicolipca, The wedding band sits so low down, and the palm side is tapered so that I have not yet seen any wear on the rings from touching one another. I had a very thin diamond band that I wore prior to getting the T&Co. band and there are some friction lines from that band on the RC setting. Bling, Yes, I got the band from T&co. I did contact Whiteflash and they also have a 7 diamond band in platinum with ACA diamonds for a very reasonable price. I would also contact them about making a wedding band. Daniela, The e-ring is 2.03 carats and the diamond band is .56ctw.(8 pointers each). All the diamonds are G VS clarity. "I'm a Brat" - Mara (PS Queen) |

Here are more pictures. This picture shows how low the band actually sits on the hand and how it fits next to the e-ring. "I'm a Brat" - Mara (PS Queen) |

kayla17, The combination looks very beautiful. Definitly I am considering gettting the same diamond bands for my wedding ring as well . Might I ask you how much did your ring cost?
