Asscher cut stone...can you help please with quality of stone... |

I am considering buying the following stone from a local jeweler...can someone provide advice as to wether or not this is a good stone...it looks nice...it has a GIA cert as well. Carat weight: 1.73 Cut: Very Good Color: H Clarity: VS2 Depth %: 66.9% Table %: 68% Symmetry: Good Polish: Very good Girdle: Slightly thick to thick Culet: None Fluorescence: Medium blue Measurements: 6.86x6.77x4.53 mm Length/width ratio: 1.01 Price of $10,200 |

I've just spent about 2 1/2 hours reading the "asscher" search findings, and from what I have learned, the asscher is an elusive cut. I have read that for the most part, it is hard to trap it into parameters, that you should really see it in person to make a final call, and that the table should be smaller, generally in comparason to the depth. I am sure the experts will chim in, but I hope this helps a little bit. Boy is it a beautiful cut, though
