Unbelieveable.  Perhaps the most ill-timed press release of the 2008 campaign arrived shortly after 1:30 p.m. today, sent by the Republican National Committee. The release forwarded word that the California Republican Party filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission, in part because of a visit Sen. Barack Obama made to his dying grandmother. ON THE SAME DAY SHE DIED. |

Did the California GOP know that she had died at that point? America didn't know until just a few hours ago. Bad timing, indeed. But I think the complaint is legitimate...albeit a tad desperate.

How about if the RNC grants Obama his trip to visit his dying grandmother, and the DNC grants Palin her new wardrobe, and we call it a wash? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

What about going back to Chicago to take his daughter trick or treating??? SURELY someone should sue for the gas mileage out of the way a few blocks between speaking engagements.

Those are expenses are for the State of Alaska to deal with, they're not campaign expense issues.
