Unbelieveable.

Perhaps the most ill-timed press release of the 2008 campaign arrived shortly after 1:30 p.m. today, sent by the Republican National Committee. The release forwarded word that the California Republican Party filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission, in part because of a visit Sen. Barack Obama made to his dying grandmother. ON THE SAME DAY SHE DIED.

Did the California GOP know that she had died at that point?
America didn't know until just a few hours ago.
Bad timing, indeed. But I think the complaint is legitimate...albeit a tad desperate.

How about if the RNC grants Obama his trip to visit his dying grandmother, and the DNC grants Palin her new wardrobe, and we call it a wash?

Then who should we bill on travel expenses of Palin's children, or props?

What about going back to Chicago to take his daughter trick or treating??? SURELY someone should sue for the gas mileage out of the way a few blocks between speaking engagements.

Those are expenses are for the State of Alaska to deal with, they're not campaign expense issues.
