I was flipping thru the channels late last night and found a show on UFO's. Apparently Tinley Park Illinois is a hotbed of UFO activity. This is about 1/2 hr from my house...but I miss all the fun! I have never seen one! I have met several people who saw a UFO over O'Hare Airport about 2 years ago, United terminal. (google UFO reports: O'Hare) Again, 1/2 hr the other direction. I WANNA SEE ONE!

This is an interesting topic. I know people who certainly believe in them. I am back and forth. I do believe it would be an aweful waste of space for there to not be anything else out there. I've seen a few things that were very strange, that make me wonder if what I saw was that. But no way to study and no proof. It's weird.

I have seen things that I cannot explain, but a UFO? Not sure lol.

Once I was waiting in a friends car after dark for her to get some stuff and come back out of her house, and I was reclining in the seat, watching the stars. In my periferal I saw something move, so I looked, and there was a tiny star-sized light at about 3 o'clock on the sky, darting back and forth. It would zoom over south quite a ways, then dip west, and then zoom back north. It was freaky! I only saw it move about for less than a minute, but it was all over the place. Then it shot over the mountains and was gone.

The other one I saw was when I was quite a bit younger, and I was at work with my dad. He carried binoculars everywhere with him, because on his lunch break he could see the air base. That day he saw something much cooler than a 747 - about a mile above the mountaintops, there was something white. We thought it was a weather balloon, so I ran for the binocs, but a peek through them showed something different. It was a little cluster of round, shiny balls, like a bunch of helium balloons, except as it rotated in place, each ball that appeared silver from the side, became a bright spot of a different color when the sun hit it - red, pink, blue, green, purple. It was there for about 15 minutes, rotating in place, and then it rather suddenly dropped back down behind the mountains.

I think our mountains are hollow and full of UFO-type stuff

Me and my then bf, not my present DH, were outside around this time of the year. About 12 years ago. In Florida.  In the evening, just around dusk.  Outside in a park with other people around.  We sat down and were looking at the moon, which had risen early.  I saw what looked like a star pretty close to the moon, at about the 2 o'clock position.  Then, it was MOVING.  It went from 2 o'clock, to about 6 o'clock, and then back.  This took a few minutes.  Then, it took off around the other side of the moon, and was around the 9 o'clock position.  I was dumfounded.  I mean, no ship that we know of could do that.  I suppose it had to be pretty big for us to see it on earth.  It just looked like a star.  But moving.  I did not do drugs, and I had a witness, so I know It was not just me.  It moved slowly, but somehow it had to be fast to cover that amount of ground in that short amount of time.  Weird, huh?

yep, but I don't believe it was from another planet.
But I do believe there is life out there.

A friend of mine actually caused a ufo to be reported by 20 people with a RC model.
It was very funny, what was even funnier was he didn't do it on purpose, he was playing with night flying with his model using lights on the wings and tail.

There are at least a couple of posters in Around the World who I suspect have not only seen UFO's, they may have been abducted two or three times

LOL @ purrfectpear!

I don't think it was an alien craft, but I did see a UFO once. My fiance and I were driving in very rural Iowa, country road, no street lights. I saw a funny object, underlit with light, just sort of... hanging... up there in they sky. No trees around, no farm houses around, too high too reach but not high enough to be way up in the sky. I stared at it and hesitantly asked my fiance if he saw it too. He did. We have no explanation of what it was - it was very strange!

What an interesting topic.
I have seen something I could not identify,( summer of 2007) but I was so very tired that night that I just observed it for a long time and did not make too much of it.Although I was intrigued by it moving on the sky late at night. After few minutes it just disappeared and I was too tired to process it? Never forgot it though!!!

Then last summer same thing appeared and this time around we were on the beach and more people were there as well. It appeared again and at least 6 other people were present so I did not imagine it.
Everybody present was in agreement that we were watching UFO.It looked identical to the summer of 2007 so I have to say I believe that I have seen UFO.Once you see it you won't forget it.
