Hi All,

I am considering purchasing diamonds that are .41 and .42 in size. They would be in a bezel setting...

Topic says .1 ... clearly I wasn't thinking at the time... difference is .01 lol

Therefore.. Would I notice the difference in size on the ears?

I'd appreciate everyones expertise.. I would be devastated if the difference was noticeable!

Thanks in advance, Liz.

Highly unlikely - we need the diameters of each diamond to tell for sure - but I doubt you would notice any difference.

Ditto - measurements are always best, but very much doubt it. Where do you plan on buying the stones if I may ask Liz?

I'll dig up the measurements..

I highly doubt that there would be any difference at all.. lol

This is what I am considering:

http://www.whiteflash.com/diamonds/Compare_Diamonds.aspx?idnos=913011,1467426

Setting is still debatable at the moment, although I'm swaying towards the wg bezel setting (even at $660AUD)

Interestingly I did a comparison between Precious Metals and paying 1.5 x (with our current exchange rate) and all the importation fees... it's still cheaper.

I guess I know what I'm getting with Whiteflash too... a fantastic product!! :) :)

Those will make a splendid pair of studs and you won't notice any difference in size -in fact you couldn't get them much closer!

I don't think you'd be able to see a difference of 5/100ths of a millimetre without your naked eye having the stones right next to each other. Never mind on a pair of earrings.

I can't imagine you would notice any size difference.

I wear a pair of J SI1s from Blue Nile, 0.42 and 0.43 ct.  The only way I can tell them apart is to check the GIA cert number under the loupe (its on the girdle).

Your diamonds are extremely well matched.  Note that they are both 4.8 mm.  You will never see that 0.01 mm!

Absolutely not. I've got a .413ct and .403ct. If someone does notice, that person is wayyyyyy too close to your ear.
