I have a 1 carat diamond that I plan to have recut because of a chipped girdle. I just don't know what to do with it. Should I put it in a ring? It's a nice stone (my jeweler approximates it to be H and VS not including chips) and I would see it better on my hand. However, I have a beautiful engagement/wedding ring that's almost 2cts (center stone), so would it be overkill on diamond rings? (plus I have other diamond bands) Or, should I make it into a pendant? I don't have a diamond pendant and would like to have one. What do ya'll think? If you had a spare diamond, what would you do with it?

Easy answer - pendant. You want a pendant, you're worried about overkill on hand diamonds. :-) Plus, I'd want a pendant myself!

I just upgraded my e-ring and put my original stone into a pendant. Even tho I have some other diamond necklaces, a single stone pendant is great, and I'm loving wearing it alot.
