Okay, I was mentioning in another thread that I've purchased settings from this dealer before. I think he sources his settings from the same place as the vendor "MyJewelrySource.com," but I'm not sure (they both have settings that are virtually identical). Well anyhow, he only sells gemstones stones, but if you email him, you can ask if the mount is available. As I've stated before, I do have two of his settings, and the diamonds do sparkle, are fully cut, and are clean as your Aunt Gertude's house. I don't know if these settings are made in China. I was thinking of this setting for my yellow champagne diamond with the feather. The stone would sit low so that it would be virtually free from hard knocks, and since there's no diamonds on the halo part, it might not make the champagne diamond looks as "dirty." I'm worried about white diamonds surrounding the champagne diamond. The cost is $329 and that inlcudes sizing for my fat fingers. I love the antique work on the shank. He can do this in rose gold. No, it's not as frilly and diamond encrusted as the LOGR settings, but I think the workmanship is really nice for the price on this one as well. It's also a hefy 6.1 grams in gold weight. What are your HONEST opinions? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200033522963&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123 |

I think it looks pretty nice, although not my style. My main worries would be if the diamond would be "swallowed up" by all the metal around it and the prongs. I think that six prongs is just overwhelming the stone. Also, they seem heavy to me, but a good setter should be able to make them more delicate. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

I think it is lovely... especially in rose gold. Thanks for giving us the seller info. As an Ebay junkie, I have come upon his auctions many times.......

Don't love the color his YG appears, but I think it would be great in rose gold!

No, you didn't start any trouble. Just FYI'ing people. I think his mounts are nice, I even saw one of the mounts he carries at my local jeweler. They only carry nice to fine quality mounts there. I know myjewelrysource.com carries the same mounts for higher prices. I just wish he would focus on semi-mounts since there is more of an appeal for that then ones with gemstones already in them. |

Date: 10/24/2008 9:09:57 AM Ok good! I'm done talking about that now, I've gotten over being yelled at and moved on...Author: tourmaline_lover No, you didn't start any trouble. Just FYI'ing people. I wonder if he would put up some semi-mounts if he knew there was more interest for them?
