I bought my dress about a month ago but forgot to bring my camera that day, sad!  One of my bridesmaids came to visit this weekend so we went to Saks to try on my dress and we got some pictures.  This is still the sample (and it's really beat up - the fabric will be much more crisp and lighter on my real dress, let's hope anyway!) but my actual dress is supposed to arrive in January.  I'd better start upping the workouts now before the fittings start!  Ack!

So here it is!

The veil I tried on with it is in "light ivory" but I think I'm going to need it in regular ivory.  It's a little too white-looking here.

And here's a closer pic of the top...

A closeup of the lace on the bodice.  I don't love that seam at the waist but whatever.

This shows where the lace tapers off at the bottom.  I'm having it made hollow-to-hem so that the non-lace part doesn't all get cut off the bottom.  (I'm 5'3)  The hem has three progressively shorter layers to match the neckline.

Last one.  Unfortunately I don't have a full-length pic of the back but this shows the detail anyway.  The buttons end just about where it shows here.  The top should have three layers that stand up from the dress but they're kinda messed up on the sample.

Thanks, dragonfly!  It was so fun to visit my dress!  I'm not sure how brides are supposed to order their dresses and then not see them again for months on end.

It's absolutely gorgeous!  The color here looks ivory, but if you are wanting a more 'candlelight' look, I think that will be equally lovely.  The neckline is just beautiful!

Thanks, HollyS!  And you're right, I should probably be looking for a veil in candlelight rather than ivory if I want a darker one.  It's been awhile since I've been on a veil website that lists all the variations of "white" and "off-white."  There are a million of them!

I tried that dress on and loved it. It's so light and the lace is beautiful. I have to say though, it looks far more gorgeous on you!
