I would pick 2. there is not much difference in size. One could probably not tell by looking at it, however #2 seems a better quality

Number 2 is far superior for what you have shown us. 0.7 on HCA (4.0 for #1). 2 has a medium girdle rather than thin; 1 is pretty significantly out of round. I'd go for 2, assuming it is eye clean.

Definitely not the first one...that HCA score is frightening. EX/EX for the second stone, a more symmetrical stone in diameter and the fact that the angles seem more inline would make me vote for that one...plus yes the girdle is better than stone #1.

I would go with #2 as well--or keep looking and keep that one in mind. Though a .7 HCA is pretty darn good.

Go with No. 2 if you are deciding between the two. The numbers on No. 1 does not paint a pretty picture.

Ditto here! I was thinking the same thing - but how did the stone get a vg for symmetry?

Which lab graded the stones?

I'd go for #2 too, assuming it's eye-clean.

Thanks everyone - I too was leaning toward #2 - but the dealer said they were both equally as nice??!! - I'm not at all sure about Sarins w/ a range and the #'s didn't seem to me to work - so I'm glad to hear you all feel the same way - by the way these are both GIA certs - go figure - I've been told VG vs EX is just being too picky - of course this is from dealers, so I'm not really surprised. I think #2 might be sold - he's getting back to me.
Thanks again for all the help -
Kristi
